Non profit, 501c3 public charity animal rescue & adoption center operating a mostly cage free shelter in Lakewood, CO. Since 2003, we've saved the lives of and found safe, caring homes for over 11,000 animals (mostly cats & kittens at the shelter, but many dogs through fosters). Amazing fact due to our very limited resources, our small building (converted fast food restaurant), no government, corporate, or other group funding, and only a few committed volunteers.

This weekend we’re featuring a couple shy cuties that may get overlooked in our kitten room. Razzles is still unsure about humans, but he’s been making strides. He’s 4 months old, curious, active and as you can see in the photo…adorable. Most homes would likely be ok for him, after he has had time and space to adjust. Say hello to Zots! She’s an all around cutie with her chin spot and multi-colored beans. She’s also a shy girl and may be timid when you first meet. But give her a few head scratches and she warms up quickly. Most homes would likely be a good fit for this 4-month-old, including those with other animals or kids. As always we recommend a proper intro. Think she could be your match? Zots would love to meet! .

Huckleberry has been with us for nearly 2 years - and boy, what a transformation she’s made! She arrived as a kitten and wouldn’t let anyone touch her for a solid year. But this pretty gal has finally decided that humans might be ok after all. Although she’s still timid, she’s become fond of head scratches and brushing up against legs. She also enjoys being read to! 📙😸 A calm home would be best for Huckleberry. She enjoys the company of other cats, but dogs and children are unknown. Check out the fancy tail on this girl! Snickers is another one of our kitties that came all the way from OK for a fresh start…and boy is she ready to find a forever home. Two of Khloe’s favorite things are laser pointers and moths. She might be 13 years old, but you wouldn’t know it by how playful and active she is (she even enjoy walks on a harness!). Khloe (aka “Koko”) is loving and chatty and would do ok in a home with kids or other cats, but not dogs. Has her pretty face caught your eye? Stop in this weekend to meet her! .

This handsome guy is Paul Newman. Despite significant vision impairment, he’ll run right up for some pets when anyone walks in the room. He’s 2 years old, loves to chat and can quickly adapt to his surroundings. Dogs and kids are unknown, but he seems to do ok with other cats. His eye condition may require some extra monitoring/care. This very friendly boy came all the way from OK to find a forever home. Think that might be with you? Come meet Paul! .

What can we say about sweet Willow that isn’t obvious in this photo? This 11-month-old FeLV+ calico is all about the love 🧡🤎 When she’s not soaking up affection, she enjoys perching in high and comfy spots. A home with other FeLV+ cats would likely be ok.
