🩵Introducing Taffy! 🩵
This 36 lb cutie was just pulled from the euthanasia list at Devore by an angel. They didn’t have room for her but couldn’t leave her behind to lose her beautiful life. They reached out to Daryl Ralison of Underdogs of Love Rescue and asked if he could take Taffy but he had just rescued a mama Pibble and her puppies and unfortunately the Inn was full. Daryl then contacted WCBR and we just couldn’t say no to that face! Just take a look at those stunning baby blues. One can really get lost in Taffy’s sparkly eyes and we did!
Taffy is 2 years old and fully vetted - so already spayed and UTD on her vaccinations. And she can hear just fine 👌🏼
She is very friendly and an absolute sweetheart.
The shelter listed her as a Boxer x Frenchie mix. However, we have a sneaking suspicion there is some Aussie Shepherd in her as evident in her longer coat, full grown size and her blue peepers 💙 👀

Beaux (fka Deacon) and Wyatt (fka Marshall) are living their best lives. These brothers from other mothers landed with the best family and have homes in NV and UT!! Wyatt’s first trip to Utah is a smashing success! These lucky boys have a little fur-bro Brody and skin sibs. So grateful to the Holmes-Orel family for taking on BOTH these amazing pups. ❤️🐾

They gave WCBR Murphy ( formerly Raine) the best life and now it’s Bear’s turn. They drove all the way to So Cal in 9 hr Friday traffic so they can pick up The Care Bear Saturday morning.
We have so much respect for adopters who put some emotional equity into adopting our dogs. Any family who would go the distance to adopt a senior dog are just very special people in our book.
We love the Pearcy MacArthur family and we have the peace of mind that Care Bear will never have to worry about anything for the rest of his life 💙🩵🤍
Introducing Larry!
We had been watching Larry at SBC for a bit and when another intake didn’t pan out for us, Larry was “In like Flynn”
Another reason we were able to intake Larry is one of our fosters and approved Adopter who has been waiting for the right dog committed to him if we were to pull him. Thank you Flynn for all you have done for your foster baby, Babette, and committing to Larry. It allows WCBR to save dogs who are red listed and in danger.
Larry is adorable with a friendly temperament. He is ultra sealed brindle with a beautiful natural tail that curls up. He still needs his man-berries removed and will be making his way up to his mama once that is done.

Introducing Jack ( formerly Morocco of SBC)
Our good friends at GSROC spotted this handsome boy stuck at San Bernardino shelter while pulling Larry for us. We couldn’t say no and leave this sweet boy behind. Look at him!
Jack is estimated to be 5 years old. He greeted our volunteer with a warm wiggle and leaned into her to let her know they are instant friends. He has a nice disposition and wasn’t reactive to any of the other dogs who were out during his walk.
He has a Flashy Fawn coat and an extra docked tail. And the most gorgeous set of amber eyes.
Stay tuned as we get to know this guy further but so far he is sweet and all around nice guy.
Welcome, Jack. You are safe and will have nothing but love and comfort.

All of us here at WCBR can appreciate when adopters get real and honest with themselves. Puppies are cute but they’re not for everyone. At first, it seemed like a great idea. That puppy breath is so intoxicating! ☺️. But these MalBox puppies in particular might be smarter than your average third grader. They will require training and enrichment as they are quick learners and are already displaying high intelligence.
Miss Pink is fine and doing well at her amazing foster home. She is learning so much from her foster brother, Bruce Banner, also a Boxer Shepherd cross. Much gratitude to foster mama, Erika Floyd and family, for holding on to her when her adoption fell though and providing so much enrichment as well as socialization to this beautiful little girl. This babygirl even loves to watch Bluey and most likely understands everything on the show 🤣
Pink is off to a great start and ready for her forever home.

💙Introducing Dunkin’ 💙
This lil man was running stray fighting to survive in the mean streets of Bellflower, CA. He was lucky, our wonderful Stephanie Trujillo Gallegos got in touch with the finder and kept him safe at Katella while we searched for his owners. No one came for this peanut so after the legal stray hold was finished, WCBR accepted him for intake.
Dunkin’ is absolutely gorgeous in person. He has the most beautiful amber eyes and rich fawn coat.
He weighs 47 lbs and is estimated to be 1 years old. He is now UTD on all his vaccinations and neutered.
Dunkin’ is still a bit shut down and fearful but he is starting to understand that he is safe. He has been very loving and gentle on our walks and has great leash manners.
We know in time this little guy will blossom and will make someone very happy.

It’s official - Mr Blue, the last of the Boxer/Belgian Malinois boys went to his fur-ever home.
He’s settling in with former adopters the Henges family (they had 2016 WCBR alum Bo, formerly Cupid).
Mr Blue is already acting like he owns the place!

Green Boy, now Otto, went home
and joined big sister Willow with the Brown family.
The Browns are previous WCBR adopters ( 2013 green puppy-Seamus) and were blessed with 10 plus years with Seamus. Here’s to new beginnings with their second Green boy, Otto. We wish you many, happy healthy years with Green Boy 2.0.

I’m Blue boy and I just became available again because my adoption fell through. We think it’s better now rather than later because I am a little puppy and can bounce back from anything.
My current foster mama says I am pretty intelligent and cute. I learned to the sit command at just 9 weeks old. Must be the Shepherd in me. The silly floppy ears and comedic genius side of course comes from my Boxer gene.

Baby Buddy went home to the Marquis Family late Friday night.
Lucky Buddy gets to have a German Shepherd big sis who will be showing him the ropes. Mom and dad are so excited to have him as part of their pack and are looking forward to seeing this little guy blossom.

WCBR received an urgent plea to rescue a pregnant Boxer girl out of Mexico. She was brought to safety and gave birth to five beautiful Boxer mix babies.
Mama Hazel was found with her Belgian Malinois mate hiding out together, so we have a sneaking suspicion that these adorable babies are Mal-Boxes.
Boxer Shepherd mixes as we have experienced tend to be very beautiful and extremely intelligent. They have the best of both worlds inheriting the clownish goofy side from the Boxer breed and the amazing intelligence that Shepherds are known for. You may consider them as the Scholarly Class Clowns of the Canine World.
We still have one girl and 1 boy available. They turn 8 weeks old on May 4th and will be ready to go on a puppy adoption agreement.

⚠️⚠️ ⚠️Winston Update ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Winston is receiving ongoing treatment at Animal Treatment & Surgical Center in Los Angeles and is doing so much better. By Friday, he was able to stand on his own and had a great appetite. A far cry from the lethargic and ataxic pup we rescued on Tuesday. To be perfectly honest, we thought we were going to lose him. His Diagnostics came back and it revealed that Winston had quite a few bad bugs he had been fighting. Not only did he test positive for parvo, Winston also tested positive for: ✅ Canine parainfluenza ✅ Canine resp. Coronavirus ✅ Bordetella bronchoseptica ✅ Mycoplasma ✅ Adenovirus type 2 On a positive note, he is NEGATIVE 🚫for Distemper. We are tackling his Parvo and additional viral infections with supportive care, giving him fluids and providing 24/7 monitoring. A broad spectrum antibiotics will take care of any secondary infections that may arise. Thank you to all who have donated towards Winston’s vet bill. Because of you, WCBR can give him all the necessary treatments he will be needing to beat this. Please continue to send healing vibes 🙏🏽🙏🏽
