Woodbrook Hunt Club The oldest hunt club West of the Mississippi River! At the Woodbrook Hunt Club, we strive to maintain the traditions of riding to hounds. We are a drag hunt.

We sport the scarlet and black coats that you see in the old hunt prints. We keep 13 or more couple of American Foxhounds in our kennels. Hounds are hunted by our Huntsman and assisted by several Whippers-In. We also have a clubhouse for "hunt breakfasts" and other social gatherings, a formal Hunt Ball, summer hunter paces and an annual Hunter Trials Horse Show. No animals are harmed in our huntin

g activities. Humans (on foot) run ahead of the riders and hounds to lay a scent for the hounds to follow.

Members and their guests: One of the advantages of the new iSportsman program is that JBLM is OPEN on holidays, and that means we are hunting Thanksgiving Day!

This hunt will leave from the clubhouse at 10 am (not the usual 11 am start) and is informal, ratcatcher attire, no rain in sight! Scenting conditions should be great, we are hunting FOUR JBLM TA’s, 7N and 7S and 8A and 8B. Members please sign into iSportsman for all four TA’s before we depart!

This hunt will have TWO flights only (there is no Hilltopper flight tomorrow) First flight and a combined Second and Third flight.

Huntsman Jennifer Hansen and her breakfast team are preparing a Thanksgiving feast for the hunt breakfast! The cost is a $15. donation to the Hound Fund for our hardworking hounds!

This is a BUSY week for WHC! Tomorrow, Tuesday there is a mounted Hound Exercise from the kennels at 10 am. AND WE ARE HOLDING A THANKSGIVING HUNT on Thursday! That hunt will leave from the kennels at 10 am and there will be a Thanksgiving hunt breakfast following, thank you to breakfast team leader Huntsman Jenn Hansen! Then Saturday, it's our Winter Wonderland Hunt Ball starting at 5 pm at the Tacoma Golf and Country Club! Tally Ho!
