I uh, I'm not sure what to say, so many things. Jake Adams is a legend, a pillar of the reefing community. A lighthouse in our landlocked state to all for the aquarium hobby around the world. Jake was always sharing his love/excitement for our hobby. Sometimes fought forcefully for what he thought was right for our community and for the animals we care for. He always said things to me that I wasn't sure I deserved, he once told me that he he looked up to me. I didn't understand why he would say that to me tbh. I've never forgot that and my reaction of (in my head of course) why would you look up to me? We had made plans for him to come over to see my tanks many times. He had wanted to for a long time but we never got there and now he never will. I wish I could could have known him better than I did.
My heart goes out to his family, and all of us that looked up to him and the example he set. To love our hobby, the animals we love and care for and the people that bring us all together. The same people that we would chat with and actually leave our children and spouses bored out of their minds while we talk shop with our brethren. We morn you together as one. Rest in piece Jake, you will be missed.

With all that said. I'm not sure how or if REEFSTOCK 23 will still happen.

IN HONER OF OUR GREAT PATRIACH I SAY THE SHOW MUST GO ON!

It might be the last, I don't know. But we as his home town reefers of Colorado should find a way to make this happen if it's on the chopping block. All of us can do it if that's the case, we just have to band together. In honer of Jake.
