At The Pet Doctor, we're here to help your animals stay healthy, giving each of them individualized care to maintain their well being.

When we opened our doors in 1973, our mission was simple: to give every animal the chance to have a happy and healthy life. During our long history of service, many positive changes have occurred both at The Pet Doctor and in veterinary medicine. Our veterinarians offer a wide variety of medical, surgical and dental services. Our hospital has advanced equipment and technologies, including comprehe

nsive in-house testing for accurate diagnosis, digital x-ray, surgical suite, dental suite, laser therapy and a pharmacy. Our staff has a deep love for animals and is committed to providing high-quality care.

Please Welcome Dr. Ashley Wright

Dr. Ashley grew up in a family of small animal veterinarians who have been long established in the Pacific Northwest. Due to this, she has developed a love and passion for helping people take care of their pets. Like many of her family that preceded her, Dr. Ashley graduated from Washington State University with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

Within the field of small animal veterinary medicine, she is particularly interested in small animal reproduction, soft tissue surgery, sport rehabilitation, and preventive wellness care.

Dr. Ashley has the privilege of loving and being accepted by five wonderful working border collies who compete in AKC, AHBA, ASCA, USBCHA, and others both locally and nationally on cattle, sheep and ducks. In her time away from The Pet Doctor, you will usually find her in a field, training young dogs, teaching new handlers, or becoming a better partner to her dogs as they work to quietly move livestock. Dr. Ashley also enjoys fishing, hiking, riding horses, and enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

We are very excited to Welcome Dr. Ashley to The Pet Doctor Family and look forward to introducing her to our many loyal and wonderful Pet Parents.

One week from today, The Pet Doctor will be CLOSED for Independence Day. Many pet parents have been seeking medications to deal with the annual celebration that often involves fireworks. Very important... we will be unable to guarantee any requests submitted after 12 noon July 2nd.

National Foster a Pet Month highlights the importance of providing temporary homes for pets in need. Fostering helps pets by exposing them to different environments, people, and sometimes other animals, making them more adoptable and better companions in their forever homes. ❤️

We always want to provide you with the best service possible. To do so, we need some help. Please allow 48-72 hours for prescription refill requests. While we do not want your pet going without, some medications may require special handling or Doctor review.

For those that routinely seek noise aversion medication for your pets, please get those requests in early. We cannot guarantee the ability to fill medications after 12 noon on July 2nd. We will be CLOSED July 4th.

*Update: There is no access to Bridgeport Way from I-5, please use the 512/I-5 exit. Bridgeport is anticipated to be closed for several more hours.

Large structure fire near The Pet Doctor has impacted local roads. Our access to Bridgeport way is currently blocked. Please enter the parking lot of St. Clare Hospital off of 112th street, go around the back of the hospital and you will find parking directly behind our building (but on St. Clare property). We will keep you updated.
