Meet this adorable roly-poly - Dudley! 😍
Dudley is a 4 month old English Bulldog that came to us with Cherry eye in both eyes. Our Ophthalmologist, Dr. Barnes did a surgery called Morgan Pocket which essentially pushes the cherry eye back into the pocket and after it is sutured in, he is all set! Dudley is now Cherry Eye free for the rest of his life!

Ice melt is a necessary product in the winter months. Keep these things in mind when choosing ice melt that is safe for your pets ⬇️
Most common ice melts contain sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride and magnesium chloride—all of which are highly toxic to dogs if ingested. One of the most popular ice melts is composed of sodium chloride, also known as common rock salt. Unfortunately, rock salt is also one of the least pet-friendly ice melts.
Pet-safe ice melts typically contain urea or magnesium chloride which are considered slightly safer but may still cause gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting or diarrhea. These ingredients are also less effective at melting ice.
Best rated pet safe ice melt brands:
1️⃣ Safe Paw
2️⃣ Natural Rapport
{These can be found on Chewy's website}
🐾 Paw protection:
Most ice melts will cause irritation—especially after repeat or prolonged exposure. Some of the more dangerous ice melts can also cause chemical burns.
Topical issues occur as irritation on your pet’s skin, paw pads, eyes, mouth, and nose.
Make sure your pet's paws are protected when walking over ice melt.
Typically, most sidewalks are not using pet-safe products. Because of this, it’s best to rinse and wipe off your pet's feet after walking with them on sidewalks during the winter. Make sure you clean in between their toes and around their central paw pad.
Ingestion:
If you think your pet has ingested ice melt, call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888)-426-4435. Their toxicology experts can help determine the potential risk and if your pet needs to be seen by a veterinarian immediately.
