This Thanksgiving, we’re feeling especially grateful.

To our wonderful clients—thank you for trusting us with your pets, for welcoming us into this community, and for all the kindness and warmth you’ve shown since we moved to the area. Your support truly means so much.

And to your pets—thank you for letting us be a small part of their world. Every wag, wiggle, nuzzle, and funny little moment on the grooming table reminds us how lucky we are to care for them.

Haircuts, desheds, tidies, and more — it’s been so good to be back doing what I love this past week in our own salon! I’ve been putting new techniques and tools to use, all while continuing to give the same top-quality care that Citrus County is coming to know and love.

Whether your pet needs a deshed, full groom, or just a little touch-up, I’m here to make sure they look and feel their best. 🐾

And we’re back! Xander, Waylon, and myself ran off to Jacksonville Thursday for the weekend for Florida’s grooming expo and Competition!

Xander and I snagged 3rd place in Freestyle, and while Waylon and I didn’t place in Poodles the following day, we both learned a lot and had a great experience! Overall, I’m excited to have more to add to my wall candy collection, and to take what I learned and regroom Waylon!😆

It was fun getting to work with Olga, Alex, and Elizabeth in the Zolitta booth on Sunday. Xander showed Waylon how to be a proper booth dog, and just lay out of the way of everything.

I had so much fun meeting other groomers that I’ve only had the opportunity to chat with online, and putting faces to names. As well as seeing old friends, and making new ones!

I’m happy to say that FITS was a resounding success and I’m excited and inspired to get back in the salon and continue to give you all my absolute best, along with the promise of continual growth and learning along the way! ☺️

There’s nothing quite like the transformation of a major coat renovation. 😍

Goldens, in particular, can get some wild wispy hairs when spayed/neutered, and it’s important to periodically card the coat in order to keep them looking their best. The “typical” deshed process or sc******ng will not have the same effect.

Working with this sweet boy was an absolute joy and so very satisfying to get to the end result.

This is Bull! He came in recently to have his nails done. His parents mentioned he usually struggles with nail trims, so we took our time and worked gently to help him feel safe and comfortable. Patience and trust go a long way. Any time a pet is struggling with something, it’s important to break it down into baby steps. Building up from little wins and growing confidence in them. This is how you create a solid foundation of understanding and trust in order to get to the ultimate goal of them being ok for the whole process.

Every day I get to do what I love, but it’s not every day that I get to do fun little things like this! 😍 Meet Bunny! Her mama is also a pet groomer, but while she was in Florida for a visit she gave me the opportunity to work with her sweet pup and add a flair of color to her ears and tail!

As a final touch, I created some handmade little tulle bows to go in her hair. 🥰

All products are made specifically for pets by OPAWZ and are completely safe for everyone. Bunny enjoyed the whole process and even got some little treats out of it. 🥰

One of my favorite parts of grooming is the creativity involved.
I love crafting a game plan for each dog’s style and having the chance to flex my creative muscles. Here’s a great example with sweet Miss Kit.

She still has some growing out to do before we can fully achieve the look I’ve designed for her, but for now we gave her a tidy clean-up with a touch of Korean Fusion flair. The sketch over her “before” photo shows my vision—and with Kit on a bi-weekly schedule, her coat will stay pristine while we continue sculpting her into this beautiful style.
