This year, I'm planning to create a spook-tacular haunted maze at the Antelope Acres Community Center’s Halloween Carnival, and I need your help to make it a reality!

I am so frustrated with irresponsible dog owners. I separate my dogs during feeding time to monitor how much each one is eating and to check if any of them lose their appetite. While one of my puppies was eating, a stray dog jumped into my yard and went after her for her food. If the dog had simply stuck its head in the bowl to eat, my dog would have let it. But instead, it attacked her. Now her face is swollen, and she has a couple of nicks on her head—just before her show this weekend. She’s barely over 6 months old. By the dog's Behavior I am certain this was regards to being excessively hungry.

She was the only one loose in the yard at the time, with the others in their runs or crates. She would have shared her food. The stray dog is now on its way to the pound. I’m not posting a picture because I don’t want anyone to recognize their dog and avoid picking it up because of a vet bill.

I just don’t understand how people can let their dogs roam freely without realizing the problems this can cause. Some think moving to the country means dogs should be turned loose, like their ancestors. But we domesticated dogs for a reason—they have predictable temperaments, but a hungry dog can act just like a wild one, no matter how well-trained.

Rant over. I hope the swelling goes down before the show on Saturday. I expect her to heal fully, but her face isn’t looking great right now.

Anybody in or near Olympia Washington who plans to drive down to the Northern California shows? I'm trying to help an elderly woman keep her bulldog. Since she cannot fly him because he's a bulldog. She has there has to get him a ride up there or she has to place him in a new home. Figured it couldn't hurt to ask if anybody's driving that way.

Now for a bit of show dog news... Stoneypoint the Force is Strong with Kaslynkay (Luke) went on a trip to The Prescott, AZ shows and although he is in his awkward teenage stage, naked and we had been too busy to play dog show with him. He went to get some practice and came home with a major. Thanks Naomi Fujita and Deenah Dee for taking him to play with you guys. Huge congratulations to those who finished their championships in AZ! I look forward to hopefully seeing everyone at the Collie Specialties soon.

Good morning. Antelope Valley Fair Rabbit, Poultry and junior Dog show entries are due today. If you have not entered. Get them in today.
If you don't see your species. Please use the "any large non standard breed" and make sure to provide the type of species and breed. I noticed they left off the geese but you can enter them. Remember Showmanship is open to local youth but the rest of the shows are open to everyone.

Rest In Peace, James Earl Jones. He had one of the greatest voices of all time.
My childhood was filled with many of his movies. Everything from Star Wars, to Coming to America, and even the Lion King. There are just too many to list.

As many of you know my youngest daughter is currently Miss Antelope Acres. She has been working on her fundraisers that are required for the Miss Antelope Valley pageant.

Nothing too major, but it has been a little active for the last hour and a half. In 2 locations. First, Lamont, Ca and second, just off the 5 freeway and the Grapevine. First estimates came out at 5.3 in Lamont, CA and 3.8 at the Grapevine. Just for those that are not aware. Generally, we usually do not see any real damage untill the quakes reach 5.5 or higher. Then that depends on how close they are to you.

So usually I just do regular x-rays to check on my dogs before breeding. I just had a few OFA's done. I was told that OFA has been extra hard on submissions lately.

Donation request: My daughter Kassie is currently Miss Antelope Acres and she is running for Miss Antelope Valley. There are several fundraisers that they are working on at one time. The first is the sale of raffle ticket, and the next collecting financial donations for the Educational scholarships. If you are in a position to make donations or purchase tickets, it is much appreciated.
* Pink tickets are $1 each they go towards the baskets that are valued at $49 and under.
* Purple tickets are $5 each they go towards the baskets that are valued at $49 and above.

Wow, I can't believe it's already been 3 years! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
This beautiful litter is out of CK Kaslynkay's Marvel and is sired by GCH Aurealis Envision (CCA RWD 2021). This was Gamora's first litter and it was a very impressive one. In this litter, 5 finished and a 6th who is major pointed.

So Happy 3rd Birthday to:
MBISS Kaslynkay's Gambit Lavender Skies (Lavish). Lavish is co-owned and beautifully presented By Linda Davis and Barbara Okeefe.

GCH Kaslynkay's Lighting Strikes RN BCAT SCN SIN DS DJ TKA VHMA VHMP FITB Tate is co-owned with Hannah Cain, and my daughter Kaitlynn Shaughnessy. Tate has earned multiple best a variety wins as well as being an incredible performance dog earning titles at both ends of his name like an alphabet soup. I'm certain I missed something in his title especially since I think he just got another one.

GCH Kaslynkay's Spirit of War (Ares) Ares has multiple Best of Varieties at all breeds and specialties and multiple group placements. He is co-owned with my daughter Kaitlynn Shaughnessy and her best friend (and my bonus daughter) Kat Shannon and has had huge success since he has been shown on a very limited basis since his owner is away at college. BTW he only needs 12 singles to become a GCHB.

CH Kaslynkay's Divinity (Athena). Athena is also a multiple BOV winner and she also has multiple group placings. She is co-owned with my daughters Kaitlynn and Kassie Shaughnessy. This girl has taken some time off to have pups and they should be out for the specialties in the fall.

CH Poseidon II, owned by his forever mom Diane Benavidez. Poseidon is living the life as a couch potato in his forever pet home where he gets to be the center of attention all day. But he is certainly not just a pet to them. Poseidon has been successful in the show ring as well quickly and easily finishing his championship just for the fun of it.

Kaslynkay's Diadem (Alice) is owned by Wendy Raksin. Alice is Major pointed and is enjoying hanging out with her owner.

Archer is also enjoying his forever home traveling with his family and enjoyingthe couch where ever they go.

They have so much fun while I am trying tho get them to sit still!

Well I was going to do a video of the other litter but now that they are done eating and they are covered in slimy puppy food and goat's milk it's time for them to get a bath and I can't videotape that at the same time I wash them. So it's only a few seconds long for them.

I thought I would share as we all know how cute collie puppies are and who doesn't like to watch puppies. These guys were born September 11th. I can't believe how fast they've grown. They are smart and a very easy puppies. Probably the easiest litter I've raised. For those of you who are interested, this litter is by GCH Aurealis Envision (RWD CCA 2021) x Kaslynkay's Hottie Tottie. There are four left. A tri smooth male and two blue smooth males and one smooth blue female. I love how the boys are gigantic lovers and she is the boss.

Videos of the collie puppies. They are almost 3 weeks old. 19 days to be exact. There are 9 puppies in total. 2 have rough coats, a tri male and a blue female. The rest are smooths, 1 tri male, 2 blue males and 3 blue females and 1 tri females.
