Meet R***r! This handsome dude came to us all the way from Pennsylvania for his Board and Train Program! 👏 His parents are committed to helping him be on his best behavior. We will be working through some reactivity issues along with general manners to help him along the way. Welcome aboard R***r! 💙

Announcement Time!! 🚨

Canine Caliber is Moving!!! (Sorta) Don’t worry we are NOT going far, just across our current parking lot into a larger Unit!! This move is going to be a big one, and is also happening quite quickly. Right now our tentative moving weekend is June 28th-1st! However, that is subject to change depending on coordinating schedules. For all of our Day Training dogs, Boarding and Group Classes, I will continue to post reminders on our door along with social media with updates as often as I have them!

**This will NOT disrupt the Day Train or Boarding Schedule** We will proceed as normal through the move, it will not interfere with your dog’s program or anyone who has already scheduled drop off/pick up times. You might simply be meeting me in a different space.

What does this mean for Canine Caliber??
Not much at the moment! Just some extra space for our Day Train Program, a larger space for more productive group classes, and a more divided space for kenneling dogs who appreciate a more quiet atmosphere. There will be a few changes put in place once I get an idea on the flow of things in the new building. But as of this moment, the only thing you need to know is that we will be in a new Unit in just about 2 weeks 🤞

First pictured is our new Unit!! Again, I will have more details and more info as these next 2 weeks go on. But the second photo is the first picture ever taken in our current building, almost 3 years ago 🥹 Crazy to think of how far we have come since Day 1! I cannot thank all of you enough for allowing me to do what I do every day. Helping me to grow this dream of mine into an amazing extended family that includes all of you and your dogs ❤️ As was always if anyone has any questions or concerns please reach out and let me know. I cannot wait for you all to see the new space!!

Join us for our next session of Puppy Preschool starting Wednesday, June 19th at 6:15pm! For puppies 5 months and younger. This class runs for 6 weeks each Wednesday and will cover all things puppy 🐾

Socialization, confidence building, basic obedience, preventing behaviors before they happen, setting your puppy up for success!

As 2023 has come to an end, I just wanted to thank each of you for another great year! I have lots of plans for 2024 and cannot wait to share them with you! 🤩

I do have a few updates as well as we head into the new year:

✨ I do unfortunately have to implement a price update to keep up with industry standards and make sure I can keep bringing you the best programs and service I can! *Updated pricing will NOT affect all programs as of right now* this update will only affect Boarding and Group Classes. Current pricing can always be found on my website!

✨I will have a few openings for Day Training on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in the New Year! So if this is a program you’ve been waiting to get into, shoot me a message to set up your Free Consult!

✨As a reminder I am only accepting Boarding reservations for dogs who have already been enrolled as a client. I would absolutely love to be able to accommodate all of your family/friends/neighbors etc! But at this time I am still only accepting Boarding for current/existing clients.

As I’m sure most of you have heard about this Mystery Canine Virus, I always like to open the conversation. If you ever have any questions or concerns please never hesitate to ask!

I do have cleaning protocols in place as always and take every precaution I can to help stop the spread of such viruses, in the case that they happen to cross into our facility.

All that I ask of you at home is to be observant of your dog! If you notice Any change in their health or behavior, please contact your vet immediately. If they do show any of these symptoms within 7 days of being at our facility, please let me know so I can take the steps needed and inform other owners! I also know that many of our clients utilize things like dog parks and traditional doggie daycare facilities. Please be aware of your dog’s surroundings

Any dogs who show the slightest inclination of illness here at the facility are quarantined from the other dogs and a call home is placed for them to be picked up. Safety is always our Priority!

We love empty crates first thing in the morning… Group activities with the Day Trainers on this rainy Thursday 🌧️ From Shepherds to Shih Tzus, 5mo puppies to adult dog. Most of them started school because of reactivity, overstimulation or other related issues. But these rockstars make it look easy 😎

You asked so you shall recieve! These are the 5 scenario’s that Trigger and I showed in at our APPDA Trial last weekend in St Louis, MO! Trigger passed 4/5 scenarios, 3 of them with Distinction (high scoring) while ultimately failing on the Road Rage set up. Videos of all 5, Pass and Fail! This is what I call controlled chaos 😂 We absolutely love stepping on that field and putting our training to the test. You cannot be afraid to fail. It doesn’t always work in our favor, but we have one hell of a time doing it! We love being apart of @theappda family Huge thank you to our judges Jen Thornton and Tai Nero along with our decoys @pawfectk9 @yourfavorite_dogtrainer @shadowboxk9 @dalek9anderson …they don’t make it easy on us…make sure to check out the work they are putting in!

Checkout our Thursday Day Training crew from this week! These pups make the “Place” command look easy 😎 Let me know in the comments how you use place at home! At Day Training we use place all throughout the day. Most commonly while other dogs are training, but also while owners are picking up and dropping off their dogs for the day!

I don’t think Flash understands this whole “State of Emergency” thing… ❄️ All the pups are still warm and safe here at the facility! We never lost power and are completely okay here at the training center. We aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, but the dogs don’t seem to mind! Hopefully he can brighten up your timeline a bit. Stay warm and stay safe everyone! ❤️

Trumper has been working super hard on her coming when called these past few days! Making sure that she has a reliable recall for mom is super important for her training program🌟
