To the clients of Ears, Nails & Puppy Dog Tails LLC.

There are a few changes in payment options that I would like to make you aware of.

Due to Square’s significant increase in online payment fees. I will no longer be able to accept “card on file” payments or send an invoice for payment. If you would still like to utilize the “card on file” option there will be a 5% surcharge fee added to your bill. Invoice payment will no longer be available. I will still be able to accept in person card transactions with no added fees to you (the client). I will still be accepting check and cash as another option for payment. At this time I will not be adding Venmo as a payment option. All payments are due upon completion of service. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This will go into effect starting January 1st 2026.

It’s the height of flea season. During the transition from Summer to Fall, fleas become more prevalent. They are trying to get indoors to escape the cold months ahead. I see the most flea infestation from August- November. Even if your dog stays inside they can hitch a ride on you or your family and get inside. Once they are indoors it can be a challenge to eradicate them.
Last year was the worst season I have seen in my 17 years of being in the industry. Keep an eye on your pets.

Signs your pet may have fleas.
If you notice a lot of black flakes on your dog, this is most likely flea poop.

Itchy and biting. Especially on the hind end, belly, groin and armpit areas.

Red spots that may look like a “rash”. These could be flea bites that caused an allergic response.

Please note I do not flea dip and cannot take dogs that have fleas. Although I clean thoroughly, this can potentially put other dogs at risk of getting fleas.

If your dog is found to have fleas there will be a minimum of an additional $50.00 cleaning fee. Your dog may be returned to you unfinished depending on the severity of the infestation.

If you find your pet does have fleas consult your vet on the proper treatment and preventative.
