So often dogs come in that have little to no retrieving desire. Sometimes the pedigree is to blame most of the time it’s never been introduced, or too many stipulations such as steadiness have been implied making the game no longer enjoyable for the dog. When building a retriever the most important component in having a strong motor. add the brakes and steering later as you go.

When Maggie got here two weeks ago she was very shy, timid, and had little to no retrieving desire. Dog such as this can be a challenge to train but are always the most rewarding. Keep it up Maggie!

Own the eyes, own the dog. Our part time trainer Brittney did an excellent job here with one of our young dogs “willow” and all the pups at the kennel while I was away for a few days. We are so thankful for everything she does for us!

Weather man was calling for a hot one. So we shortened up the marks, added some duck calls, shotguns, dog stand and decoys for a real hunting style training day. “Molly” shown here, sure seemed to enjoy it, Happy Friday!
