There is a difference between knowing a lot of commands and having balanced behavior. What do we mean by that? Our friend Ranger, featured in this reel, is a prime example. His owners started obedience training with him when he was a puppy, and continued that until he recently earned his Trick Dog title! He is clearly a dog who knows a lot of commands, yet he was still struggling behaviorally (as seen above). He was fearful of the car, was a puller, and would jump all over his owners when overstimulated. Through behavioral training, Ranger was able to reach a much calmer, more balanced temperament. Now he can be the dog who can calmly go with them to the store. Training is a lifestyle. She has joined us for Puppy Preschool, our two-week board and train program where puppies learn important foundational lessons.
