Here’s a little bit of sunshine in the middle of all this horrible stuff that’s going on in my life, feral Larry let himself be seen this morning! He sat there, watching me for a good bit, responded to me, calling his name, and gave me Blinky eyes!

I feel so honored that he’s letting me know he decided to trust me at last! He’s been here not quite a year. Rita

This is Rita... I wanted to thank everyone for your ongoing support during the October 5th loss of my Mom Mary Reimers, and now through my Dad's hospitalization and cancer diagnosis.

As a thank-you, we've opened up the CBA Ally Area to everyone. Right now you need no login, no password, and no donation to get inside. There are a few kinks in there *like the message boards, we may need to remove those since no sign on will be associated with access. We'll work those things out in time.

As to those of you who donate to get access, we're working on something special to thank you. Ongoing, we'll be using a different platform for donations, and your recurrent donation renewals will no longer renew.

Linda and Nicole are headed down here to help me with this most horrible time in my life... Thanks again everyone for your ongoing love and support, it makes a difference to me, I feel you...

It gets harder every day, lots of stress over things to be done, no more time to cry... looking forward to our trip to Emcc the CFA - The Cat Fanciers' International Cat Show so I can maybe distract myself from the awfulness that is now my life...

Pray for my Dad, he keeps saying he won't be here long...

People keep asking me about HSLSC Humane Society of Lancaster, SC. It's not officially closed down, I am working on what needs to be done about that with the CPA. It cannot remain active as I think the person she started it with is also deceased. We started a legacy fund in my mom's Mary Reimers' name, so her work will continue...

so, it's over... no viewing, which is hard because I've had no closure but I wasn't going to make my Dad pay for her to be madeup to be laid out just for me... I am home trying to catch up on some work (I owe 3 people Behavior Session Write Ups from Friday) so I have to get that done... Looks like I am taking over paying the bill for my Dad, and thats going to be a big learning curve for me to get a handle on their expenses, auto pays, who needs checks, etc.... I would not wish this on anyone... I cant really grieve fully for my mommy, there is too much to do...

I just don't know what to do with myself... A few of my cats are freaked out by my intermittent crying, some comfort me... Poor Zucky even though he is deaf, he feels my pain and he's sitting in a litter box, as he tends to do when he is stressed...

My dad, I called him earlier, is cleaning the house, doing laundry and trying to keep busy... He didn't want me to come over today, I am sure he needs alone time. I do too, but at the same time I wish I wasn't alone. But the person I would want here is my Mom, and she's gone.

Tomorrow we go to the funeral home at 10am. I dread this. While she did not want a service nor to be laid out, Dad said we can see her...

I just don't think I can do that...
