Ruff Patches is an all volunteer-run animal welfare and advocacy organization. Ruff Patches is dedicated to keeping pets in homes! We provide food to low income pet owners, provide behavior support and veterinary support when we have the funds. Of course, we also rescue homeless animals and find them new, loving homes. We hold adoptions at Petsmart at 47th St.

🎄 Meet Double Cheese — the friendliest little street cat who decided people are her favorite thing.

This sweet girl showed up outside one of our volunteer’s homes and walked right up for pets and attention. 💕 Sadly, the homeowner isn’t a cat lover, and we don’t have any open foster spots right now — but we can’t let her spend another night wishing for a family of her own.

We’ve made sure she’s safe and warm with a donated outdoor cat house for now, but Double Cheese deserves more than a patio this winter — she deserves a home, a lap, and a few shiny Christmas ornaments to bat off the tree. ✨🎁

She’ll be fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed, and tested for FIV/FeLV, and her adoption fee is waived for the family who opens their heart to her.

We asked, and our incredible community delivered! 🐾😻 Ayesha has officially claimed her new favorite spot.

A huge thank you to our amazing supporters who sent gifts from our Amazon and Chewy wishlists! 🎁 Thanks to your generosity, our residents received four new cozy beds, tasty cat treats, two cardboard scratchers, and a brand-new litter box.

As you can see, Queen Ayesha has already given her royal seal of approval to her new bed. 👑 Her official statement was a series of contented purrs, which we've translated to: "My loyal subjects have pleased me. This bed is adequate for my napping needs. You may now bring me treats." 😽

Wow! What an absolutely incredible night. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every single person who came out for our Halloween Drag Queen Bingo fundraiser. Your energy, laughter, and spectacular costumes made the evening truly unforgettable.

Thanks to your amazing generosity, we raised a total of $1260 for the animals in our care! Every dollar will go directly toward providing shelter, food, and the chance for a better life. We simply couldn't do this work without you.

It was a night filled with new friends, amazing community spirit, and show-stopping performances by the one-and-only Borga Bloom and the hilarious Bingo Boy Jeffrey. You all brought the house down!⁠
