We provide food to low income pet owners, provide behavior support and veterinary support when we have the funds. Of course, we also rescue homeless animals and find them new, loving homes. We hold adoptions at Petsmart at 47th St.

After 852 days of patience and courage, Ginger is finally home—and she’s taking her sweet time soaking it all in. This cautious calico queen is finding her rhythm in her forever home, one step at a time. With her watchful yellow-amber eyes, Ginger quietly surveys her surroundings, adjusting to the soft hum of her new sanctuary. ✨

Her new sister, Chef, is a bundle of curiosity—but Ginger, true to her thoughtful nature, is playing it cool for now. Their budding relationship is a dance of patience, mutual respect, and curiosity.

**🚪 From Quarantine to the Cool Kids’ Club 🐾**

Big news for our angelic troublemaker, Castiel! He’s officially out of quarantine and has moved in with our dynamic duo, Sherlock and Watson. And oh, what a *drama pawty* it’s been!

On his first night inside, Castiel proved to be a pro escape artist, squeezing out of the top of his cage—but don't worry, the humans quickly figured out how to keep this clever kitty safely inside!

Watson, true to his charming self, has already extended a paw of friendship. He’s the “come one, come all” type and seems interested to have a new buddy to share catnip secrets with. However, Sherlock fully embodies his namesake’s analytical (and slightly aloof) nature. His eyes seem to say, “Who invited *him*?” But we all know how cats are—they *never* like change… until they decide it was their idea all along.

Castiel, on the other hand, is living his best life. He's basking under sunbeams and stretching like he invented lounging, completely at home and as if to say, “This indoor life? Yeah, I could get used to it.”🐈✨

The road to a harmonious trio might take some time, but we’re optimistic these feline personalities will figure things out. After all, who can resist Castiel’s angelic charm for long? (Not us, that’s for sure!)

**💙 Castiel’s Next Chapter 💙**

We have an update on our sweet angel, Castiel. After his vet visit, we’ve learned he’s FIV positive. While this may sound scary at first, we want to share some uplifting truths about FIV+ cats—because, just like Castiel, they deserve love, happiness, and a fair chance at life.

Cats with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) can live long, healthy, and joyful lives with proper care and a stress-free environment. It’s not a death sentence—it’s simply a reminder to provide a little extra TLC, and that’s something Castiel already has in abundance!

It’s important to know how FIV is transmitted. It spreads mainly through deep bite wounds in unneutered outdoor cats—not through casual grooming, shared food/water bowls, or cuddles! With this knowledge, we hope to start dispelling the myths and lingering fears about FIV+ cats.

Castiel may have a unique challenge, but his loving personality, playful spirit, and endless purrs show that he has so much to offer. FIV doesn’t define him—it’s just a small part of his story. He’s one of many FIV+ cats who are ready to thrive in the right home filled with love and understanding.
