Meet the Team Monday: Sarah, VT

Sarah joined our team in 2004 after moving from Wisconsin. She is a lover of large dogs, living with Splash, a flat coated retriever and Finale, an Irish Wolfhound. On the weekends she can surely be found at a doggy event such as Coursing or Agility. Sarah’s favorite part about her job is seeing the bonds between people and their pets grow.

This is Leela! She is looking for her forever home! Leela is a sweet, outgoing and active kitten. Her right eye was affected by a respiratory virus. She has limited vision and needs eye medication twice a day for another week. After that, her eye shouldn’t be a problem. She is vaccinated and will be spayed here when she is old enough. We are asking for a $100 adoption fee to cover the costs of her care. Please call the Manheim Pike office if you are interested in adding her to your family!

🐾 Our Clear The Shelters: Free Adoption Events start TOMORROW! Here's all the info you'll need to know if you are planning on attending to adopt! 🐾

The York County SPCA will waive all adoption fees this Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the shelter in honor of National Clear The Shelters Month! Our goal is 80 adoptions - which means finding 80 animals forever homes!

Adoptions will occur on a first-come, first-served basis, and only cashless payments (for buying dog licenses, bloodwork, collars, leashes, carriers, etc.) will be accepted.

If you plan on attending, please read our blog post which details everything you need to know when coming to meet with and adopt a new furry friend ➡️ https://ycspca.org/news-events/blog.html/article/2024/08/14/let-s-clear-the-shelters-all-animal-adoption-fees-are-waived-august-24-25-

About Clear the Shelters:
NBCUniversal Local is teaming up with hundreds of shelters nationwide to host Clear The Shelters in August 2024, a nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign that helps find loving homes for animals in need. This year, they are celebrating their 10th Anniversary! More than 1 million pets have found their forever homes since 2015. To learn more, visit their website at www.cleartheshelters.com.

Our staff, volunteers, and animals can't wait to meet you and help you in the process of finding a new furry family member! 🥰✨
