UPDATE: Woohoo….we were successful in trapping #7 Saturday. They are all safe, have a soft bed and being fed twice a day.

UPDATE: We were successful in getting 6 of the 7 cats today. Woohoo. Thanks everybody for all the help/suggestions, etc. These babies (not really babies) now have full tummies and are safe. We hope to get the last one tomorrow.

Paws In The Panhandle needs help from TNR volunteers to trap kittens and adults at a Chester location where the caretaker has passed. Paws In The Panhandle is willing to take the 6 kittens to be socialized and vetted before placing for adoption. We need help trapping the kittens as well as getting the adult cats fixed and returned. We want to ensure that no more babies are born. Timing is key for Paws to be able to socialize the kittens so the sooner the kittens can be trapped, the better. We can provide carriers to place them in and will transport them back to the rescue. Does anyone have contact information for this service? Please feel free to share.

Everyone meet FIDO! This little guy was found as a stray. He was picked up by a loving couple who brought him home and gave him a safe place to stay while they reached out for a rescue who could take him in. That’s when Paws in the Panhandle stepped in. Fido immediately went into a foster home. Within the first day that he was found he stole everyone’s hearts! This little boy is a sweetheart. He was doing great for the first three days but then on day four he started to become lethargic, he no longer wanted to eat and he slept a lot. His foster mom thought it was from the vaccines and meds he had the day before. Unfortunately by the end of that day he had a slight fever and two days later he declined quickly and drastically. Fido has been in the hospital for going on 4 days now as he is fighting PARVO! This poor baby is really fighting for his life. The survival rate for puppies with parvo is not very good. He had just had his parvo vaccine the day before his symptoms started but must have already been exposed to the virus. We are really praying that this sweet boy survives and has a chance to enjoy a wonderful life.

We could really use YOUR help in covering his hospitalization costs. Without the hospital intervention he would have passed away and we had to give him a fighting chance. Please consider donating to his bill and also please share his story with family and friends. We believe he is a fighter and cannot wait to meet the family who gets to take him home!
