May's Employee Spotlight is our Assistant, Ali! ✨

Ali has been with us since May, 2023. Today is actually her 1 year workiversary with us! 🎉

She has a Pittie named Dewey, and 4 cats named Hazel, Phoenix, Tarot, and Moose. 🐾

Her favorite thing about her career in the veterinary field is being able to help and make a positive difference in pet's/owner's lives. 🩺🩹

Some things she likes to do in her free time include thrifting, reading, going to concerts, and listening to music! 🎼📚

If she could choose to do anything for a day, she would spend it cuddling highland cows or otters! 🐮🦦💞

♻️Recycle your pet's food cans and other packaging materials. Make sure you are disposing properly!

♻️Donate old blankets, towels, pet beds, and more to your local animal shelter!

♻️Use eco-friendly products such as biodegradable p**p bags and plant based cleaning products!

April's Employee Spotlight is Cassie!

Cassie has been a technician with Healing Paws since April, 2022. Today is actually her 2 year workiversary! Congratulations! 🎉

She has 2 dogs. A 10 year old husky mix named Violet and a 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog named Sage. Sage is a tripod! 🐶🐾

Her favorite thing about working in the veterinary field is being able to build relationships with clients through their pets. She loves helping pets when they're sick and getting to see them improve! 🩺🩹

In her free time, she loves spending time with her son and going line dancing. 💃

If she could do anything for a day, she would be a chef and work with Gordon Ramsey! 👩‍🍳

The week of April 17th-23rd is National Pet ID Week!

Losing your pet is an owner's worst nightmare! That's why we would like to take a moment to address some ways to make sure your pet has the proper identification in case such a thing were to ever happen. (Hopefully not!!)

🐶Make Sure your pet is wearing a collar and ID tag with your name and number.
💙You can even get GPS trackers now! (attach to collars - ex. AirTag, SmartTag)
🐱Get your pet microchipped!
💜Make sure your pet's microchip info is up to date (address/phone number)

In Honor of Pet ID Week, we will be offering a 25% off discount for microchipping now through the end of the month!

In case your pet gets lost, a local shelter, vet clinic, or police station will be able to scan your furry family member for a chip. That chip will have your contact information, which will be used to help get your pet home safe and sound!

If your pet is not yet microchipped, give the office a call!

Our Story

HPAH was designed with you and your pet in mind, from services and staff to the design and layout of our facility. We offer curbside services, an easy to use side exit separate from our main lobby, species-specific rooms, and special exam rooms with checkout available from the room that all work together to create a low-stress and comfortable experience for you and your pet. Our exam rooms are specifically curated to the comfort of your pet, including a Comfort Room specifically designed as a living room for a calm, transitional experience when it is time and also cremation options to celebrate your critter’s loving legacy. We are here to calm your pet’s nervousness (and feed treats along the way!) while even giving vaccines or performing an exam where ever your pet feels most comfortable (our floor, your lap.. etc.)

Dr. Carrie Vigeant attended IUP, earning her BS in Biology with a double minor in Chemistry and Biochemistry. She attended Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Carrie has practiced small animal medicine and surgery for nearly 11 years. She has attended a variety of advanced training courses in Dental Surgery, Fear Free Certification, Soft Tissue Surgery in the Feline and Canine, as well as Orthopedic Surgical training. She has worked at West Lancaster Animal Hospital, PETS ER in Lancaster as well as Compassion Animal Hospital.
