Observing Your Horse as a tool to Improve Performance"

A little about Mike:
Mike Stine, a Registered Journeyman Farrier, APF-I and World Equestrian Games Farrier, will share how developing your observation skills with your horse can lead to better performance. Mike has over 35 years of experience as a farrier, and leads the Equine Dynamics podcast. With certifications in Proper Balance Movement (PBM) and Equine Podiatry from Dr. R.F. Redden in Kentucky, Mike brings unparalleled expertise to our discussions about our mission to create sounder horses from the ground up. He is a big proponent of ground work in training. He will use photos of different horses to illustrate during his presentation.

Friesian Grand National Show TIEC was fabulous! Thank you Epperson Farm for these amazing stallions. They were turning heads! Great Job Lauren handling the Boys. Kaspar was Reserve Champion both days and Beau was Top 5 both days.

Saturday 9 am - 4:30 pm
Sunday 8 am - 3:15 pm

BIG NEWS FOR IET!

We are thrilled to finally let the cat out of the bag! As of May 1st, Brett will become the in-house trainer at the new and improved In-Town Equestrian, LLC. Many of you will remember this facility, because it was also our home base from 2012-2017! Formerly known as Kibler Shamrock Farm, the facility is now operated solely by Stephanie Shepard.

For those who don’t know the facility, it’s a beautiful 25-acre farm located between Waxhaw and Monroe. The farm offers 8 spacious stalls in the main barn, run-in sheds in all 7 pastures, a round pen, an outdoor arena with jumps and a covered regulation dressage size arena. The covered arena was recently upgraded with new footing similar to GGT, and the barn has recently been renovated as well.

Stephanie and her family built the farm from the ground up over 20 years ago, and acted as the manager for the facility under her parent’s ownership from 2003-2017. Stephanie grew up as a barn rat and graduated from NC State with a BS in Animal Science and Equine Business. Having worked closely with Stephanie from 2009-2017, we know she always strives to provide the highest standard of equine care.

We have big plans ahead! As we move and settle into our new routine, we will also begin to offer clinics and educational events. We are so excited to join back up with Stephanie for what we know will be an opportunity to provide top notch care and training at a meticulously maintained facility.

What a wild and crazy 2022 🤪!So many wonderful memories 🤩and some heart breaking ones too 💔. I want to say a Huge THANK YOU to my amazing family for being my rock solid support during a very tough year, I know it wasn’t easy on us but we made it through. Major appreciation for my friend and mentor that has completely given me drive to reach all my goals, thank you Richard, I know 2023 will be a year for growth and achievement. I also want to thank all of my clients, WOW you all are just amazing!! This year has been brutal for some of you and all of you have held your head high and kept perusing your goals. You all are the reason I love what I do and keep me striving to be a better trainer! Thank you for everything! I am so excited to be with each of you in this new beginning as we boldly move into 2023. Let’s be all in and support one another! Happy New Year 🎆 🥳
