Over the years here at Dragon Fortress we have come to enjoy the company of many new animals. We have had the pleasure of having the support of our awesome customers over the past years. To show our appreciation for your support, we will be offering any returning customers free shipping for the rest of the 2014 year. Here at Dragon Fortress we have many different species, but still focus around th

e bearded dragon. We have mainly focused on the Purple Paradox Bearded Dragon over the past year or so and have had success in reproducing this elusive trait. All of our original purple paradox stock has come from Josh D. with Phantom Dragons. We still have Hypos, Translucents, Italian Leatherbacks, and Dunners. We are also currently working with the witsblits trait. Our bloodlines have been acquired by some of the most respected names in the industry. We have also acquired imported dragons to strengthen our bloodlines, look for them next year! We now have other species we will be offering regularly. Some of these animals will include different types of chameleons such as Veiled Chameleons, Jackson Chameleons, and Panther Chameleons. Some of our favorite Panther Chameleons are Blue and Red Ambilobe, Purple Bar Ambanja, and Ampiskiana. We also have Leopard tortoise, Sulcata, and Cherry Head Red Foot Tortoise. In 2015 we will be focusing on breeding our small colony of Frilled Dragons and look for our Crested Geckos and Gargoyle Geckos we will have for sale. And of course, what would a collection of reptiles be without Ball Pythons. We offer a 30 day guarantee on all animals. When a female bearded dragon is ready to breed for the first time, often her first clutch is infertile. We lucked out with two fresh girls this year. Both of their first clutches are small, but they are fertile!

An unsprayed yard is a gold mine this time of year! And once the garden starts producing, I won't be buying any veggies for a few months!

Violets, purple dead nettle, and dandelion flowers are great bearded dragon treats. Dandelion greens can be fed daily!

Responsible foraging.. Rule 1. Do not ever feed your dragon (or yourself) foraged plants from an area that is/has recently been sprayed with an herbicide or pesticide. These are very toxic and can cause a lot of problems over time. They poison the land and ecosystem. It is also advised not to pick plants along the road due to exhaust fumes and the toxins associated with those. Rule 2. Take one, leave one. Even better, take one, leave two! It is important not to disrupt the ecosystem too much. Dandelions, for example, are one of the first pollen sources in Spring. The bugs count on them! You should always leave enough for the local wildlife. I absolutely love this time of year.
