Couldn’t be happier to announce that Heather has officially been adopted.
Even happier to announce that she has been adopted by me. Surprise! ❤️
Heather has been a staple at the cat cafe for the last five months; essentially as long as we have been open. In this time, she’s been very busy winning over so many hearts, being an amazing educational resource for folks learning about cat body language and boundaries, and has made a true home for herself here: she has multiple thrones. She has a FULL bulletin of fan art. She has adoring fans that come to the cafe just to see her.
Heather is an older cat that, as so many do, found herself alone after her owner she’d known all her life passed away. When she ended up at the cat cafe, it took no time at all for us to fall in love with her in all of her adorable, voluptuous glory. We watched her grow from a timid and nervous cat whose entire life had been upturned, to the sweet and sassy queen that rules us all with nothing but confidence.
If you’ve been to the cafe, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen Heather sitting in my lap, purring happily. Cat lovers know, there’s no better feeling than when such a standoffish cat chooses you. Feeling chosen by Heather has made my heart so full, and you know what? I choose her right back. She’s truly a part of my heart now and I can’t imagine my life without her.
Heather will stay at the cat cafe as a resident kitty for the time being. We know she’s comfortable and content there and is making socialization strides we never thought she would! She has so much more sunshine lounging to do and sits in MANY laps now, to our absolute delight. We’re so proud of her, and so happy that she will continue to be part of the LanCATster Cat Cafe vibes for a while to come 😸
We/ I love you so much, Heather ❤️
Thank you so much to who took these photos and helped me corral all the other kitties away so that Heather would be less crabby (guess what: she wasn’t) 😂🫶
