Did you know it's the second baby season of the year for Eastern Grey Squirrels?
Squirrels have their litters around March/April, and again in August/September. That means the squirrels calls have picked up again! So what do you do when you find baby squirrels that are too young to be on their own? The visual below has very helpful information to answer that very question.
Most of the time, it is possible to reunite with the parents. If the babies are sick or injured, or parents do not get the babies after attempting to reunite, they need to get to a certified wildlife rehabilitation center. Remember, it is illegal to raise wildlife, so do not feed the babies anything. Keep in a warm, quiet place until you are able to find a rehabber for them!
