Patient Case of The Day:

Kipper presented to our clinic after he jumped off the couch and became non-weight bearing on his left rear leg. X-rays confirmed that he had dislocated his hip, which is a pretty unusual injury. We sedated him and Dr. Morris was able to get his hip back in place then our technicians placed a "hobble" bandage between his hind legs. The hobbles are used to limit abduction of the hind limbs to help keep the hip in place during his two week recovery. After a few "wobbly" steps, he finally got the hang of it and was walking with tiny strides in no time!

Lionel is one famous kitty! He came in for his exam with Dr. Morris and his dad shared with us that he LOVES people watching out the window and has become a fan favorite of folks walking through Lancaster City. Lionel left his exam with not only his vaccinations but a new sign to hang up to let his fans know his name!

Of course if you are hosting a party keep alcohol and harmful supplies up and away from your pets reach. Take them to the bathroom now, before the fireworks start. Create a calm environment for them including their favorite toys and close blinds and curtains.
