🙀Kitty update! 😻 Remember that 17 year old boy Shadow? When his owner passed away the family surrendered him in hopes he would live out his life in a loving home..Well, I'd say he is doing that! This honestly made my day to see this one come in! I'm telling you people, 17 weeks or 17 years...If there's air in those lungs there's life left! Shadow is reminding his Dad of that ♡ and in his Dads words...(this is good) "I thought you sold me an Old cat whose days were numbered! 😂 Shadow has totally come out of his shell , hardly goes to the basement any more, runs to meet as I come in the door , on my lap as soon as I sit in the recliner. And now chasing toys all over until he loses them under something. He’s great !😊 "

Last week this amazing family saw our Zahar post, and right away wondered how he'd be with their lab lady Birdie! She was a rescue herself needing a new canine companion! They applied, and between the app, vet reference, and other references it looked so great. Now the tricky part...Birdie needed to approve! She so graciously approved upon meeting him, and their energy matched as they tore up the nearby dog park! That was it, they knew they had to get home and prepare for their new son! Zahar will be going to the daycamp in their town, on family hiking trips, and be SO cared for! After that meeting, the relief on his face today when he saw they came back for him was priceless! We packed up bags of toys, seat belt, coat, boots, bene bones, and more. Sweet boy, life has JUST begun! Coincidentally a wonderful gentleman came in today and paid a dog adoption fee, so we surprised them with that! Happy tails good boy! Xena pupdate! This girl is fighting back. Today This 10 + year old dog, the victim of abuse, starvation, and neglect played. She fetches. She's a warrior, and we love her. She is SO ready to go to her furever home and play fetch furever with humans who LOVE her...I think with a slow introduction she would be good in any dynamic...She just has a lot to get used to and to learn what a healthy environment is...she shall thrive. After 162 days of cage life, our pretty girl Ella has gone on home! What I love most about this one is, her new Mom initially had interest in Martha, and was all about the beagle breed...but once she knew Martha went home, she was open to Ella. After a few visits, Ella met some family dogs, went to the dog park and did great. She even met her future dog sitter, and her Mom was sold on a dog she didn't knew she needed! Martha is officially unemployed, and going to her furever home! This amazing couple lost their girl earlier this summer, who had a similar resemblance to our Martha...They kept seeing her, watching, tossing around the idea, and today they made it official! We all sat back and watched the story unfold of this young family of dogs dumped that night, and I feel like this is the best grand finale we could have gotten.
