Auggie (August) is a six year old male Jack Russell terrier. He can be a clown and is up for any adventure. He likes to go for walks, explore the world and look for varmints. He loves to chase a ball. He has never met a stranger and loves people. He likes respectful dogs but not cats or other small animals. He will alert you to strangers, squirrels, deer and birds. He is a cuddle bug and will be more than happy to warm your lap. Auggie is up to date on all his vaccinations and has never met anything that he won't at least try to eat.

Our big, sweet boy Ron is ready to meet his perfect match! This gentle giant is a staff favorite, known for his unique “bat mask” markings and his huge heart. Ron is fantastic with other dogs and adores his people—he’d be thrilled to find an active home with another dog to play with! 🐕❤️

We ran into our handsome boy Barnaby the other day at Bomgaars with his foster, just before they headed out for a hike! Barnaby was the perfect gentleman, greeting everyone he saw with a friendly tail wag, a few sniffs, and his signature smile. This sweet guy has so much love to give and is still looking for his home! 💙

Rowen! This beautiful Border Collie mix recently came to us after her previous owner could no longer care for her. While the world feels a little overwhelming to Rowen right now, she’s already making strides with the love and patience of our dedicated team.

Rowen may be cautious with new faces, but she's slowly coming out of her shell, enjoying time with her doggie friends and finding comfort in her new routine. We know that with time, understanding, and a lot of love, Rowen will make an incredible companion. 💖

🍂 November Thankful Series! 🍂

We’re sharing one standout story from each month of 2024 to celebrate the incredible journey we've had together with you all!

✨ March Highlight: Meet Banksy, one of our tiniest, bravest rescues. 🐾 This little guy came to us just days old, and with no available foster, we sent him to our friends . His journey there began in an incubator, needing round-the-clock feeding and care every 3-4 hours. Over the next six weeks, Aska dedicated herself to nurturing Banksy, raising him in a loving home filled with dog (and human) siblings. 💖

Without his mom and littermates, Banksy missed out on the natural lessons of early life, but thanks to Aska’s dedication, he got the next best thing! Banksy left Aska’s care as a well-adjusted, crate-trained, x-pen master—and fully house-trained. He then joined our friends in Jackson, who found him an amazing home!

We’re incredibly grateful for our wonderful partners and the support they provide. Some animals need resources that we simply don’t have access to here in Fremont County, and having strong relationships with shelters and rescues across Wyoming—and even in Idaho and Colorado—makes all the difference. Together, we’re able to give animals like Banksy the chance they deserve.

On sunny days, we sometimes set up a cat tent so our kitties can safely enjoy a bit of the outdoors—and last Monday, before the snow hit, it was Peppermint Patty’s turn! 🐱 Though she was a little unsure at first, she settled right in and enjoyed some tent time. Patty is truly one of the sweetest kitties we’ve ever had, and she even loves giving hand-grooming spa sessions until your hands are absolutely spotless! 💖

This loving lady is looking for a forever home where she can be the only kitty—Patty’s declawed in both the front and back, so she deserves a peaceful environment where she can feel safe and adored.

🏃 Calling All Runners & Hikers! 🐾

Do you love hitting the trails or going for a jog? We’re looking for volunteers to help a few of our high-energy dogs get the exercise they need, and Jasper is at the top of the list! This sweet guy loves his yard buddies, but he’s ready for even more adventure. Jasper would thrive with regular heart-pumping exercise, and we’d love your help to make that happen!

Huge thanks to our awesome volunteer, Melissa, who took Jasper on a hike this weekend. He had a blast exploring! 📸 Field trips like these are perfect opportunities to practice your photography skills and capture the pups in action.

🍂 November Thankful Series! 🍂

We’re sharing one standout story from each month of 2024 to celebrate the incredible journey we've had together with you all!

✨ February Highlight: In February, we were incredibly grateful for our partnership with PAWS and the amazing team at Lander Valley Animal Hospital (LVAH).

On February 7th we brought in a big group of incredible animals from PAWS: Mable, Driggs, Brooklyn, Tulsa, Knoxville, Sheridan, Irving, Tillamook, Bozeman, Louisville, Miami, Vail, Scott, Kalamazoo, and Juneau. All became staff favorites pretty quickly! Namely Brooklyn, who needed special care for an ear hematoma (fixed with adorable button surgery!), and sweet Juneau, who became our “tripod warrior” after a front leg amputation. Despite her tough journey, Juneau bounced back, showing nothing but love and resilience.

Most of these pups also became our Canine Adventure Guide's favorite hiking buddies!

We can’t thank PAWS and LVAH enough for their dedication, skill, and big hearts in helping make this February full of hope and healing for these wonderful animals.

Since her arrival, we noticed Autumn favoring one of her back legs. A check-up at Lander Valley Animal Hospital revealed just how tough this girl is—her femur was entirely out of socket, likely for quite some time, and it had started to degenerate. Last Friday, Autumn had surgery to help her move on pain-free and start a fresh, new chapter as a happy tripod pup! 🐾💪

Now in a loving medical foster home, Autumn’s tail wags have returned, and her sweet cheeky personality is already shining through. Her foster says she’s adjusting beautifully to her new three-legged life, and her resilience is truly inspiring.

With each day, Autumn is one step closer to a full recovery and finding her family. Let’s cheer on this beautiful, brave girl as she heals! ❤️🍁

This lovable 1-year-old has earned his name for his signature airplane ears that are always ready for takeoff! 🐶💕 At 50 lbs, Jet is the perfect medium-sized buddy.

Jet may be a bit shy at first, but with a few tasty treats (especially cheese—his favorite!) he warms up in no time. He knows his basic commands and loves to show off his smarts during training, making him a perfect companion for someone who appreciates his sensitive, loving nature.

Poor Tadpole! This little guy has been through a lot, but his spirit remains unbroken! After a visit to the vet, we learned that a large chunk of earwax likely broke his eardrum, leading to a stubborn, long-term, painful infection. Now on strong antibiotics, pain management and post operation, Tadpole is ready to bounce back stronger than ever. This guy is ready to leap into a new loving home!
