Myself and 2 different horses were in Vegas this week competing because of one person…Jedd Christian. His years of experience, training, knowledge and ability is the backbone of Reverse 53 Horses and he rarely gets credit for the horses he makes. Mr. Blakburn Chex aka Chunky is a 2009 palomino gelding that we’ve had since he was a 4 year old…Jedd seasoned and hauled him for almost a decade as his go-to horse for any # of roping. He won the jr heading and jr heeling at the Fort Worth stock show as a 5 year old, has been hauled all over the US to major ropings, has won saddles, buckles and a has a very solid amount of LTE’s. For me to be able to rope off a horse that is as solid as they get, because of my husband’s training and his program, made my first WSTR Finale even more special.
Metallic Mint aka Mojito is a 2017 gelding that has been featured on our page several times. After only 8 months of rope training, Jedd took him to the world finals futurity in Fort Worth as a 4 year old and won 3rd in his division. He competed for 2 more years at futurities and since then has been Jedd’s #1 at rodeos and jackpots. He was used heading and heeling this week.
I had never swung a rope until Jedd and I got together. Teaching your spouse anything will test your patience but he didn’t give up on me and he’s the reason I have this roping addiction now.
