Daddy was a beautiful black and white Husky, and mama dog is featured in last photo. She is a Pyrenees mix that the vet said "didn't have a uterus").
15 minutes south of downtown Little Rock, AR.

8 baby puppies.

At least 20 pounds a food per day is ALOT!
👉Galen needs our help until we can find all of them good homes 🐾

Currently he only has one more day worth of dog food left.

A 50 # red bag of Valu-Pak at Farmers Association on Stagecoach Road is about $35

Volunteer Puppy Photographer Needed!

The miracle Husky puppies need cute photos to help get them adopted!

Galen is unable to do this on his own. And he needs help ASAP!

I just wanted to let everyone know that all of Galen's Dogs have fared well over the last week with the snow and ice and artic temps!

Without the physical and financial help of so many amazing people, the outcome would not have been so good.
He has expressed his humble gratitude so many times for the outpouring of love. 🐾❤️

It's been a full time job for him daily to take care of all the dogs and new pups by himself. Making repairs to doghouses daily was quite the task, too!
But, so far so good.

I hope to get out there soon again (besides the bad weather and road conditions, my dad has been in the hospital all week).

Mama dog and 8 babies are warm and safe ❤️

(The daddy was a black and white Husky! And yes, we took mama dog in to get her spayed a few months ago, and both of the attending veterinarians said "she doesn't have a uterus, so we can't do the surgery". 😭)

Items bought January 13th for Galen & Dogs:

Rope to make Galen a line to hold onto as he has to navigate down a big slippery hill to feed half the dogs. (have some left over if needed!)
Caribeaners to attach to his waist.
5 gallon bucket to carry dog food and water in.
Waterproof gloves to remove ice from water bowls.
Duct tape to wrap covers onto dog houses.
All purpose scissors to cut door flaps and rope.
Batteries for his headlamp and lantern.

Groceries because I don't want my friend to be hungry!

We also bought 6 bales of straw today at Ace Hardware at @ $8.50 + tax each.

Screws for attaching boards to dog houses,
Rock Salt for ice on steps and ramp.

And a special thank you to my friend JIM "the candy man" from the Goodwill Outlet who gave me a bag of collars, leashes and hardness - several of which can be used for Galen's Dogs 😊

These are the angels who helped Galen and his dogs today make final preparations before the artic weather ❤️
4 hours of hard, dirty work!
But saving many lives.

I'm pretty sure we will be finding straw in our pants for weeks 😂

I am going out again to Galen's today (Saturday... January 13, after noon)...
ANYONE WANT TO HELP ME FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS?

Wait... Let me rephrase that...
Would anyone PLEASE go with me this afternoon for about 2-3 hours to do these vital tasks?

To spread more straw, fix doghouse doors, make a rope lead for Galen all the way down the driveway/ hill so he can have something to hold onto in the ice! , Cut and put down strips of cardboard boxes in certain areas to help with snow removal, make sure he has everything he needs...

👉 I'm soooo worried about the dogs, but I'm also incredibly worried about Galen being alone and falling in the ice and snow while he is trying to care for the dogs by himself.

Some of it's not easy terrain, and many dogs are down a hill from his trailer. (Not bad when there's not ice, but we may get a foot of snow or more, y'all).

My health isn't good (if any of y'all know what Lyme Disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Tick Fever feels like...) And Galen has a slew of health and physical issues.

I've been doing it all by myself, but I'm in ALOT of pain from overdoing it. I just need help doing basic stuff - it's not hard - it's just more stuff than I can do by myself in just a couple of hours.

What a wild night!
Galen and I got 90% of everything done tonight.

He will be able to finish up things tomorrow before the artic cold hits.

We made "doors" for 15 dog houses to the best of our ability. Some may have to be redone after the storms tonight, but at least we have leftover supplies to make repairs.

Tomorrow Galen will be super-stuffing all doghouses with straw and laying some down on the ground all around the dogs as well.

He has big cardboard boxes to lay out in pathways before it's snows and ices over (I told him he is NOT allowed to slip on the ice!!!!)

I made sure he has plenty of straw to change out/add to every day -plenty of dogfood, water on reserve, tarps and duct tape for emergencies, de-icer, and food in his belly, too.

Mama dog and pups got some warm blankets, linens and pillows and a dear friend has donated a baby gate for them 😊

We are both aching from head to toe, but it's worth it.

2 - 50 # bags of regular dog food, one 20 # of puppy food for lactating mama dog, 3 galvanized food pails, 1 big emergency water storage, 1 small food storage, loads of baby blankets, baby puppy bed stuff and linens, 2 food bowls. 15 pallets, 1 igloo dog house.

Thank you so much to Terrilynn and her boyfriend for transporting the pallets (and to Mikel for providing them!) and bringing an awesome dog house ❤️

Spent 3 hours working on weather proofing dog houses.
Going back tomorrow to hopefully finish and getting more straw!

They even said they got a second opinion from another attending vet.

So when a beautiful male Husky dog wandered into the yard one day when "Miss Cloud" was playing outside, not much was worried about.

Now, as of early this morning, Galen has 8 newborn pups occupying his closet.

Please send up those prayers. 🙏
In 6-8 weeks we will have some beautiful black and white Husky mix dogs to get adopted.
