Dr. Charles Harris, who purchased the hospital in 1979 and is a graduate of Auburn University, and a current member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) as well as the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association (Alabama VMA) and East Alabama Vet

Please take your outdoor pets in to consideration with the upcoming storms! We are expected to get upwards of 10 inches of rain! Please make sure your outdoor pets have a way to get out of standing water/rain!

This is Biscuit! Biscuit is an adult male kitty, recently neutered, and he is in need of a home. Biscuit needs to be indoors-only, as he is positive for FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. With a loving home, he can live a long, happy, and healthy life! In a calm household, there’s a very minimal chance that he might pass his virus to another cat (~2%), and no chance of spreading to people or dogs.

Biscuit enjoys opening his bakery for business and kneading away. He is a snuggler and will be a very chatty shadow to a lucky human. Please contact us or come visit to see if Biscuit might be a good addition to your home. He will come fully vaccinated and vetted!

✨Check out this amazing story of resilience!✨

On 1/9/2024 Coop was brought to RVH on emergency. He had been hit by a car with a traumatic injury to his back right foot. Many felt his leg to be too mangled to save but with a little extra TLC, weekly bandage changes, and upwards of 5 surgeries we have finally reached the finish line! A lot of people had doubts along the way but Dr. Teague wouldn’t give up on him! Today makes almost 7 months and he has officially graduated from treatment! Coop you have made it so far and we all wish you and your family the absolute best! Make sure you come back to see us!
