With the help of donations from local businesses and individual sponsors, pets will be rescued and given to the winners of the Why I Want a Pet for Christmas writing contest. Contestants: Each contestant must write a full one-page essay on why he/she wants a pet for Christmas. Essays must be submitted by December 13, 2013. Please remember to include your name and home/parent phone number along wit

h your essay. Children ages 6-18 must have a permission slip signed by a parent in order to enter. Permission slips may be picked up at Bradshaw Library and at participating elementary schools. You may also contact [email protected] for a permission slip. Essays and permission slips may be mailed to PO Box 102 Lanett, Alabama 36863 by December 13, 2013.
