Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary from Niagra Falls❤️😘
My rock ❤️
When they just can’t wait for their turn. Lol
Barbara York
Millie
Starting my 43rd year in the professional field of dog grooming minus the years working with my mother in her shop as a child.
RETIRE or not to RETIRE?
That is the question.
Just not ready yet. I still love my job.
Stanley as most of my clients know is my love. He is my reason to keep sc******ng but he is not the only reason.
There are too many to name Snickers, Millie, Belle, Ziggy, Mookie, Sawyer, Skylar the list goes on n on.
My heart would break to see any of them shaved down.
Today’s grooming is nothing like it was when I started out.
The grooming has come to quantity rather then quality.
I am truly grateful n blessed to have the clients that I have.
Thank you to each n everyone of you. You make it easy to go to work but hard on Vic because I won’t retire!! ❤️
The WORTH of Grooming
You get all sorts of dogs. Dogs that haven’t been to a groomer in over a year. Dogs that make you cry, make you frustrated and make you sad. Dogs that are matted head to toe. Dogs that are 3 years old and have never been to a groomer, let alone been outside of 4 walls. Dogs that fight you, kick you and bite you. Dogs that that are too anxious for a brush. Dogs that are fear-aggressive and ones that are just aggressive. Dogs that are unsocialized. Dogs that treat your shop like their own bathroom. Dogs that are too frail and weak that you know should’ve crossed that rainbow bridge. Dogs that are 100 lbs that break your back and 2 lb dogs smaller than the clippers. Dogs that take longer than they’re scheduled. Dogs that are unpredictable. Dogs that make you question why you do this job.
Then the clients.
You get all sorts of clients. Clients that don’t bring their dog in regularly. Clients that complain about your prices. Clients that think their time is more valuable than yours. Clients that blame you for their unkempt dogs. Clients that complain because their matted dog was shaved down. Clients that have never taken a brush to their dog. Clients that refuse to take direction or education. Clients that don’t pick up after their dog. Clients that scream and yell at you. Clients that leave bad reviews over the simple things. Clients that make you question why you still do this job.
But then there’s dogs that…
love coming to be groomed. Dogs that have been socialized. Dogs that give you lots of hugs and kisses. Dogs that are so happy to be there with you. Dogs that are fun to groom. Dogs that are well-mannered. Dogs that come in every 4 weeks. Dogs that get brushed regularly. Dogs that don’t cow kick you for a nail trim. Dogs that are so relieved after shaving their pelted body. Dogs that make you smile. Dogs that make every hard part of this job worth it.
But then there’s clients that…
Are willing to learn how to maintain their dogs coat. Clients booking on a regular schedule. Clients who brush their dogs. Clients who understand the maintenance that comes with their dog. Clients who are willing to pay your worth and more. Clients who are kind. Clients who look forward to seeing you every session. Clients that treat you with the utmost respect. Clients that care about your time. Clients that feel awful when they’re late. Clients that understand that their matted dog has to be shaved. Clients that have become friends. Clients that make this job worth it.
So in the end, this job is never easy but it is worth it🐾
Signed- a burnt-out but strong dog groomer with no regrets.
When you just want to have some fun at work. You scissor for 3 hours!! From a hot Mess to a fluff a Nutter.
Mookie could have did another 3 hours but my hand was tired.
Blessed to have the best clients with the best pups.
Thank you Adina .
When you come across things your child made in school.
Wow I do t even remember it. Have no clue which one it is but I’m guessing Brett Meyers. Sure makes me warm n fuzzy inside. I made an impression on them❤️❤️❤️
Who has the best husband? Nothing slows him down. ❤️
When your hubby already knows it’s going to be a tough day at work? He brings you a monster to get u going. Let’s get to combing out after all that rain. Poor Belle❤️

Best Friends by Savana n Aubree.
Frankieboy isn’t impressed😼
It’s not only the ducks that are prepared for todays weather. Little Man insisted on putting his boots on over his pajamas.
Business phone is out:
Verizon was here in the neighborhood n fixed the problem.
NOPE still no phone.
They’re coming back tomorrow.
I DID NOT RETIRE if you’re hearing it ?? Ten clients texted me n asked if I closed?
NOPE
First thing I’m shocked how quick that can get around. Just letting the Lacey pups know I didn’t shut the doors.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings? Lol
Happy Valentine’s Day❤️❤️
Pam is hilarious!
I can’t imagine any reason to give away my dogs. That’s just me.
Looking to rehome my children, ages 5, 7, and 9. Honestly, I didn’t do enough research about having kids before making this commitment & they just don’t fit into my schedule anymore. My husband and I are so busy. I have a lot of life changes happening.
Also, the kids are starting to have behavioral issues that they never had as newborns & we’ve tried everything to work through these issues but it’s not improving & we just can’t have this much of a liability in our home anymore. They are ruining my marriage due to stress, waking me up early & tearing up my house, ruining my furniture, my walls, everything. Also, we’re moving & have found a home with an awesome yard for my dogs but just couldn’t find one with enough bedrooms for these kids.
It’s saddens me (please no judging or negative comments) and I am aware of how much emotional damage this will be on them & probably never fully recover from being abandoned but it’s just the circumstance we’re dealing with but please PM me if interested. There is a small re-homing fee because I want to make sure that they get a good home.

This is how pathetic you sound rehoming your pet. Grow up and get your life together.

Best way to kick your butt in gear after a week off.
Huck is getting his whitner on. Waking up the place. Yes I’m crazy but I love my job.
When your daughter knows you inside and out. Funny!
Happy National Daughter’s Day to my beautiful, loving n extremely caring daughter Ashley Marie. There are no words to express how proud we are with the woman you have become.
The most amazing mother to three precious children that light up our world, hardest working nurse while taking care of life at home while hubby is away four weeks at a time. A loving sister to her brother and truly the most attentive daughter parents could ever ask for. You are a Jill of all trades. How do you do it all n never complain? Don’t ever lose that sparkle. We love you to the moon n back. 😘❤️
Nap time buddies❤️
This is how all dogs should be treeated❤️
It's just tough looking at the images coming out of Ukraine. This one got me today. Woman carrying her dog 17 km (around 10 miles) to the border. 🇺🇦
“My dog is 12 and a half and she struggled to walk and fell down every kilometre or so and couldn’t stand up again. I stopped cars and asked for help but everyone refused; they advised us to leave the dogs. But our dogs are part of our family.”
