📣New CDC Dog Import Requirements 🐕

Last month the CDC announced new requirements for dogs entering or re-entering the United States that will become effective starting 8/1/2024. While they may seem strict or inconvenient, they are necessary to protect you and your pets. Currently the US has eradicated the Dog-Mediated Rabies Virus Variant (DMRVV). Unfortunately, there has been a significant increase in the cases of dogs with falsified records imported to the US, some of which have subsequently become symptomatic and tested positive for Rabies. So, what are these new regulations and how do they affect your dogs? Please read on, even if you do not have any current plans for travel.

ZenVet is temporarily closed.

I loved being able to provide acupuncture services for my patients in their homes where they are more relaxed. Those who were not stressed out by an office visit were happy to join me in the office. With the frequent and long appointment times I have gotten to know all of you so well and consider you and your pets my extended family.

Unfortunately it is just not safe or doable for me to continue during the Pandemic. I would be devastated if I exposed one of you to this serious and deadly virus by coming to your home. At NPAH we are curbside only, and as you can see by this post, struggling daily to keep up with the demand. I am unable to utilize the techs to help keep your pet calm when you are not there, as they are just as overworked.

I look forward to the day when we can all be vaccinated and see each other again. I am committed to continue to provide acupuncture services when this is all behind us. Until then, I miss you all. Stay safe and be well.

What Is Going on With My Veterinarian?
Busy phone lines. No appointments. Long wait times for everything. We know that you are dealing with all of these and we thank you for your patience with us during this unprecedented time. So, what is going on?

Hello everyone,
It saddens me greatly that ZenVet will have to temporarily put its services on hold while the pandemic is going on. I miss all my furry patients and their human families. I look forward to the time ahead when we can once again be together and the healing can begin.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, I’m always happy to consult on the phone and do what I can.

Well I’m back to work at NPAH, but I’m not able to see patients yet. Starting physical therapy for my wrist soon and hoping to be able to see all may patients again in April.
