I’ve been wanting to express a sentiment similar to this for quite some time. I had a great conversation with someone last night over why the cost of French Bulldogs is so high (which honestly the price is comparable to some other purebreds that are not as fragile)… I have been thinking to write a post explaining this a little further or give some insight into what we experience in our home but I think I’m going to wait until after Christmas because I want to spend quality time that we’ve been missing out on, with family.

So…for now… what I wish more people understood about responsible breeders is… we can’t stop irresponsible breeding. Only families can do that. That requires educating yourself on your breed and asking a lot of questions. Responsible breeders pricing is likely the same if not similar to irresponsible ones. You can’t judge quality and health based only on price.

What else do you wish more people understood about responsible breeders?? 🤔

Our last baby leaves in a few hours.
We will not be having babies for quite some time so these last few hours are bittersweet. It’s been a wild ride! Christmas litters I heard were tough and we had back to back Christmas babies so I can confidently say that is very true. But, on the plus side, it’s been so fun hearing the personal stories and listening to everyone’s excitement this holiday season as they prepared for their new family members.

We wish all our families a happy transition and a Merry Christmas! We look forward to watching these babies grow with you all!

Three of our four babies went home today and it’s very bittersweet.

It was so nice to meet all the new families and see that they are going to such good homes! That’s what makes all the work worth it.

So now it’s just the Hoopster and I till mid-week.

What show should we binge? Because I have a feeling we are going to be on the couch snuggling until his family is ready!

No complaints here!

And then there was Poe.

Let me tell you all the reasons I want to keep Poe. First, he’s the chunkiest! He is fullbodied from the front to the back. His face is fuller too. He’s just so nice to look at!

But the best part about Poe is his personality. He is the first puppy to greet me when they come out for playtime. He climbs into my lap (they all do by the way but he rushes towards me) and he litters me with kisses! When I pick him up the first thing he does is kiss me. He wants to be everyone’s friend. He’s playful with his litter mates. He’s playful with his big brother, Kota. He’s playful with our kids. It’s not in an attention seeking way but just that he’s happy to be with you and wants to be.

Another fun fact is Poe takes his food very seriously. You might be his first love but food is your competition. He likes to eat. More than he likes toys.

This is an eat, drink, and be Merry type of baby.

Frenchies are highly social. They are loving. And family oriented. Poe is very true to that temperament. And very true to structure.

He’s a catch!
If it wasn’t for personal circumstances, I would be keeping him.

He is available and looking for his family. ❤️

I don’t even have words for this boy because he takes my breath away. This one breaks my heart a little because I want to keep him but current circumstances say I can not.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! 🎄

We are hoping Santa 🎅 comes early and brings us our families!

Tomorrow, we turn six weeks!

We go home with AKC pet only registration, first round of vaccinations and de-worming, a LARGE puppy pack full of goodies to help us transition, litter box trained, the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Scale, enhanced early socialization, and breeder support from our Granny!

Tricks has my heart! ❤️

He is the sweetest, goofiest baby. I love playing with him and seeing him grow emotionally.

He’s the last one to gain his ears but they are starting to pop! 🐶
