What is USARK?

The United States Association of Reptile Keepers (USARK) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization that lobbies for Americans' right to keep, breed, and sell reptilians.

USARK frequently publishes warnings and fights proposals that threaten the exotics industry. You will often see them fundraising at larger exotics expos to achieve these goals.

USARK describes itself as "a science, education and conservation-based advocacy for the responsible private ownership of, and trade in reptiles and amphibians." They also have the goal "to facilitate cooperation between government agencies, the scientific community, and the private sector in order to produce policy proposals that will effectively address important husbandry and conservation issues."
