So we got a new toy for the dogs and it is a big hit. We went outside to play fetch for a bit and I let them play with it independently while I supervised. This is "Silky" and he had so much fun playing fetch he is learning how to properly retrieve and return to me. The tabs make it easy for them to grab ahold of. It also makes it a good toy for almost any size dog. The ball is only 6" in diameter.

This little man right here, I affectionately call him Curls because he is so curly, is an Aussiedoodle and almost seven months old. I just dropped him off at the groomers for his second grooming experience. He is getting all handsome for his, hopefully, new family. Curls is such a good boy. Looking forward to working with his new owner on his training for a smooth transition from our home to theirs.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone that has been so patient with me the past six months. At the time our two fall litters were going home, my dad was in an out of the hospital and eventually came home to hospice care. After his passing it was a very challenging time for me. Thank you to all of our new families that were patient in getting responses from me during this time. It was very much appreciated. Also, during that time, we had a third litter born just before Christmas. It was a small litter, two males and one female (our keeper). We have been raising and training these three along with our family dogs and one from the fall litter, that ended up having to stay with us longer because of the events happening.

We are finally in a place where we can start looking for homes for these three loves. I will start going through our waiting list and will be going through our inbox responding to those that have messaged me. Please be patient as I am trying to respond as quickly as possible.

We will start posting videos and pictures of the available puppies as soon as possible. These puppies are fully crate trained and have had no potty accidents in our home in months. They have been well socialized, sit on command, leash/harness trained, do pretty good with loose leash walking, and more. We have two male Aussiedoodles (chocolate) and one female Doubledoodle (cream). If you would like more information or an application, please send a message expressing interest.

One year ago today, this beautiful momma gave birth to her first litter of three. I affectionately referred to them as milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and cookies 'n cream. This was the second litter for Doodle Gardens. Happy 1st birthday to Bruno, Sadie, and Oliver!

Puppies have been going home with their families since before Christmas. Things have been hopping around here with all the prep work.

I would like you to meet Bruno, formally known as Red collar. He went home with his family a few weeks ago. He was the first to leave and one of the very few that will be staying in MI. We have had updates on Bruno and he is doing well adjusting to his new life and enjoying his new family. Congratulations to Bruno and his new family. I know you are going to give him a great life and I'm sure he will be spoiled.

These four, (Rose's - Orange, Brown, & Cream; Lilly's - Blue) will all be leaving in the next few days. Three if which are heading to the east coast. Wanted to get some more car rides in to prepare them. We took a trip to see Grandpa in St. John's and came back. They all did great. No car sickness and just snuggled right in. Sure will miss these guys when they leave.

Crate training is going so well for these puppies. At nap time, this little girl (Aqua) crawled into her crate and snuggled up with the Snuggle Puppy all on her own. We keep the crates open during the day and they do like to nap in them.

How can I not love my job when I get snuggles from cuties like this every morning and all day long. (Orange) He absolutely loves to be held. I know he is going to be spoiled by his family and love his New York home. Only a few more days before he leaves.

Here is another good video with tips on how to teach your dog to go potty on demand. Granted, starting these from the time you get your pup home will help them learn quicker but if you have an older dog, you can still teach them to go potty on demand it will just take a bit longer. It will definitely be worth it to teach them this skill.

Here is a very helpful article on how you can prevent your dog from marking in the house or other areas that are inappropriate. Training is the key. Training needs to start when they are young and continue throughout. In addition, there is a video on how to teach your dog to do their business on command. That will be very helpful if whether is bad and you want to get in and out quickly or when you are traveling.

Finally have a chance to post a quick video and brag on these pups a bit. The vet visit on Monday was a long visit. Pups were unable to use the litter box or be put on the ground to go to the bathroom for over three hours. By the time we left the vet they were whining pretty good because they needed to use the bathroom. When we got home we put them in the yard and every single one peed as soon as their feet hit the ground. Not one had an accident while we were gone.

This little guy (Red) wanted to "help" me get some work done while his siblings were taking a nap. This is why it takes me an hour to send out one message. Lol I'll miss them when they go home with their families though. Could you say no to that face?
