We are having an end of the season harvest party on Saturday November 2nd from 1:30 pm to 5 pm!
We will be making two big pots of soup with some of the veggies we grew this season and we’ll have fun activities for all ages—making scarecrows, s’mores, planting garlic and face painting! There will be a produce stand for you to stock your fridge with.

We’ll also be hosting a supply drive for unhoused community members preparing for cold weather. Please check out this wish list, gather up some items and come out to the harvest party where we will be collecting all donations. If you have items that you think would be useful that aren’t on this list feel free to message us. Thank you!

Many congratulations to our friend Jose who is opening a brick and mortar location of his Peruvian restaurant Tantay in the very near future! We have been growing these Aji Amarillo (Peruvian Chile) peppers for Jose over the last several years. The peppers take about 5 months to reach maturity in our climate and have been a fun challenge to grow!

We’re raising money for our friend Kristin and her kids. They were just evicted from their house after their land lord jacked up the rent and they have nowhere to go. They’ve been following all the housing leads they can find but they haven’t had any luck finding a place yet. One of their kids is autistic and not able to handle the environment in the shelter so they are out of good options. We want to raise money for them to be able to get a motel for a month so that they have more time to figure out their next move. We shouldn't have to live in a world where moms
and kids get pushed out on the street with no where to go but that's where are at as a society right now. Please if you have some extra money, let’s pitch in and help this family out ❤️‍🩹

Please come get some of the harvest! There’s tomatoes, beans, sweet corn, garlic, onions, eggplant and eggs available to take. They are self serve at 704 South Hayford Ave. Look for the sign on Harton and follow the arrows 💗

We are raising funds for our friend and neighbor Lee Scott. The breaks on his truck went out a couple weeks ago and he ended up crashing into the river, his truck was completely submerged in water (see picture) and he had to struggle to get out before it sunk completely. Luckily he is physically okay but his truck is totaled. Lee needs his vehicle for his work and livelihood and he is now without any form of transportation. Lee’s hot water heater also broke this past month and he has been grieving the loss of a close family member. This month has been particularly trying for him but he remains strong and positive. Lee is active in the community always providing a safe haven for those who need it. He has reversed 7 overdoses by providing life saving Narcan to people. He provides free furniture, clothes and more to the neighborhood through his weekly yard sales and is getting ready to start a substance use recovery class which will be meeting at the Fledge. Let’s show Lee that we appreciate all he does by helping him out now in this moment of need. Please donate if you can.

We will be at the Allen Farmers Market on May 15 from 3-6:30 PM running a seed swap table! If you have seeds you’d like to contribute please bring them to the table on the 15th or if you can’t make it the day of feel free to message us and we can arrange pick up before hand. Farm participation hours are starting this week! Come join us for some field work and friend making. We’ll be out every Friday from 5-8 pm working on spring projects. We have multiple fields located on different streets so message us ahead of time if you plan to come so we can tell you where to meet up. If you can’t come on Friday evenings we are also open to hosting people on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10-noon. Just shoot us a message if you’re interested 💚 Sending love and remember your presence is a present so even if your not able to join in the work you can always stop by just to say hi and visit.
