We breed small animals in-store to ensure healthy, well-socialized pets, and we run a rehoming program to help animals find loving homes. You’ll find gerbils, guinea pigs, ferrets, degus, hamsters, rats, and more. Our reptile section features a wide variety of snakes, lizards, invertebrates, and other unique species. We prioritize proper care and education, so you can confidently care for your new pet long after you leave the store. While we don’t sell cats or dogs, we carry everything you need to spoil your furry friends. We’re also proud to partner with our neighbor, Constellation Cat Cafe, which re-homes rescue cats from Saved by Zade. Come explore our departments and make Preuss Pets your next stop!

🇺🇸🎆 Happy (almost) 4th of July from all of us at Preuss Pets! While you're gearing up for backyard BBQs and fireworks, don’t forget about your furry, feathered, and scaly friends — this holiday can be stressful for them.

Here are a few quick pet safety tips to keep in mind:
🐾 Keep pets indoors during fireworks — loud noises can cause anxiety and panic.
🐾 Make sure ID tags and microchips are up to date, just in case.
🐾 Avoid giving pets table scraps — especially bones, onions, and chocolate!
🐾 Create a calm space with their favorite blanket, toy, or hiding spot.

Stop by before the holiday weekend for treats, toys, calming supplies, or just a little love from our team. We will be closed on Friday but we’re here to help you and your pets have a safe, happy 4th! ❤️💙

We have 1-2 positions (part-time and full-time) that have immediate openings in our Reptile and Small Animal Dept.

Both positions require weekend availability. Individual must love working with people, have a passion for inspiring others in the world of animal husbandry, and geek out about snakes, tarantulas, degus, and all of the other amazing creatures within our department. This is an excellent job for individuals aspiring to work in a zoo or vet clinic setting.
