Led by Rick Preuss and Steve Oberg, our aquatics section is unlike anything you’ve ever seen! We breed our small animals in-store to ensure healthy and enriched pets are available to you. We also run a rehoming program and help when necessary. We have gerbils, Guinea pigs, ferrets, degus, hamsters, rats, and more! We also have a diverse reptile section. Within this section you will find a variety

of snakes, lizards, invertebrates, and more. We emphasize health and proper husbandry. You will find this evident when you’re in the store and after you go home. We want you to have a successful journey with your pet. We don’t have cats or dogs. We do have all of the products to spoil your fur babies though! And we are excited about our partnership with our new neighbor, Constellation Cat Cafe. They rehome rescue cats from Saved by Zade. Our 22,000 square foot store is a tourist destination! We provide you the largest selection of top-quality products to assist you in caring for your pets. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring the health and well-being of your pets. Each department's staff maintains a high level of expertise in his or her subject matter. We are committed to answering all of your questions thoroughly and accurately. We endeavor to make our store a destination all its own. The store's ambiance is enhanced by an original mural designed by local artist Tom Phillips. When you come to Preuss, you not only get to experience an eclectic mix of animals, plants and art, but also of people. People are the core of pet care, and at Preuss we serve thousands of people from lawyers to Michigan State University students to elementary school tours. Preuss has something for everyone. I must say, I could have shopped for toys for my sweet Arabella at SuperZoo this year. It’s really interesting growing up in this industry your whole life and watching the products change at industry trade shows.

A combo stroller for your toddler and dog? Enrichment toys for your 4-legged child that resemble the same toys your 2-legged child has. Not to mention I’d get in the elevator with my stroller and I didn’t know if the other stroller had a child or a dog.

There is one thing that’s true, our pets serve as children to many of us for many different reasons!

I love this pet loving community! I think we will be winding down from SuperZoo for a few weeks. That was a big show!

Splash and Zephyr stole my heart and I had to choose them for this challenge! They seem to really get the value of where to spend their hard earned dog and cockatiel dollars! 😘 Or at least their mom, Ann’s money!
