I am currently booking for April and May! If it’s been at least 12 months since your horses last dental exam, now is the time to reach out to get on my schedule!

Just because you can’t see an issue doesn’t mean there isn’t one, there could be so many things going on that you can’t see such as sharp points, ramps, hooks, steps, protuberants, etc!

The first step to a HEALTHY, HAPPY, and PAIN FREE horse is their mouth!

I am currently booking for March and on! If it’s been 12 months since your horse had a dental exam let’s get them on the schedule! Spring is busy so if you want a spot on my schedule now is the time to reach out!

Every equine every year needs a dental exam! There are SO many things that could be going on inside their mouth that you can’t see!

Your horse, donkey, pony, mule, etc can be hiding signs of needing crucial dental work!
Here are just some of the signs your horse is in need of a dental exam!⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

-Dropping feed
-Head tilting, tossing, or shaking
-Reluctance to the bit or collection
-Refusing to turn /bend a certain direction -Quidding or packing hay/feed
-Declining health and performance
-Increased salivation
-Etc

Dental health ties into much more than how they appear to eat or how they look! Improper dental care can also directly correlate to the TMJ, muscle imbalances, hoof issues, sinus problems, gut issues, etc

Make sure to send me a message and let’s get your horse on my schedule before you hit the trails, arena, or show pen!

A couple things!

First, my schedule is only open on Fridays so if you are wanting a spot on my schedule now is the time to reach out! I will book out quickly! (I do have a colleague who is the only other dentist I trust in the state of Michigan that I can refer you to if you absolutely need a different day.)

Next thing I will no longer be making a farm call for only one horse, unless you are within a half hour of me, or I have horses in your area already on the route.

I will not work on unsedated horses it’s harder on them and it’s harder on me, I work with a vet who can provide sedation, or you are welcome to provide your own.

I will not play clean up because you decided to use a different dentist who didn’t know what they were doing, you should be scheduling your horses every six months to a year so it’s not a last minute issue, I will book out very quickly!

I will no longer take clients who don’t keep up on a yearly schedule, if I do, I will charge an extra fee for the extra work needed.

Hey guys! Just a few things ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

If you are wanting to book with me NOW is the time to reach out!

Starting in January I will only have 1-2 days a week open for dentals.

❗️I will not work on unsedated horses anymore if you aren’t comfortable sedating your own horse, let me know and I can have a vet come with me on the farm call. (This is for your safety, my safety, and your horse’s safety)

❗️I only use power tools now, as power allows me to do a better job in a shorter amount of time, this saves my arms, and it’s EASIER on your horse. (If hand tools are an absolute must I will use them, but it will be a little more expensive)

(Please do not use just any dentist that uses power tools not everyone actually knows what they are doing and power tools can be dangerous to your horses teeth if not done correctly!)

If it’s been at least 12 months since your horses teeth have been done now is the time to book.

I am currently booking into the end of October if you want your horses worked on before the winter now is the time to reach out!

Remember, I am veterinarian recommended by multiple vets! I also travel all of Michigan and surrounding states.

I have an equine wellness clinic scheduled for October 21st if you would like a discounted price you can haul in! Vet will be onsite for sedation, vaccines, and exams.

This was in the mouth of a fat and happy mini! This is a great example of just how adaptive horses can be! Remember horses are prey animals, so they tend to hide signs of discomfort until it becomes severe! Do your horse justice by getting them their yearly dental exam. You can see the massive 406 and 411 ramps, and the cuts on her cheek from the 406, she was very uncomfortable!

This owner was very happy I came out and took a look at her mini, we got her fixed up and now she’s much happier.

This animal had to be euthanized by the simple fact that they couldn't identify the reason for its stress, pain and aggression. Look what they found after the necropsy. This is why every equine, every year at least needs an exam! Dentistry is a MUST not a choice. It’s part of basic horse care! I have openings on my schedule let’s get your horse an exam!

Gigi’s first day went great we worked on bonding so today she got to settle in and she got lots of pets and I talked to her and worked on her trust we walked her fence line in her pasture and she got to relax she is curious she is tucked in her stall for the night with lots of hay and fresh water she got some treats and learned a new trick tomorrow she gets a massage. Don’t mind my ducks making a ton of noise they were hungry and weren’t very patient 😂 Jennifer Beattie
