Glad Jack Frost finally saddled his horse 😎

When you run in as big as country as we do sometimes the cold snowy weather is your best friend as it brought the rest of our yearlings down the mountains so we could get our summer country cleaned up!

Finally got all our yearlings shipped out of rawlins despite the weather not cooperating. Also, we had to get a little creative on how to load the renegades 😂

Finished preg checking all our cows yesterday!
Had a great crew to get it done 😎

🤔 Why do we preg check out cattle?
There’s multiple reasons we preg check

➡️obviously reason is to see what cows are pregnant and what cows are open, that we need to cull.
➡️ we can see how many days pregnant they are to give us an idea on when each cow will calve.
➡️ it’s the perfect time to vaccinate the bred cows with Alpha CD. This vaccine helps protect the calf against scours and purple gut that they might get from the antibodies in moms milk.
➡️ also it’s a great opportunity to weigh each cow and check their body conditions, while placing and replacing identification.
