🪱This is a great book for those interested in starting a worm farm. I have a few quotes in there as well!🪱

I don't get any compensation for any sales of the book, (so no pressure sales here), but I did get a chance to review the book before publication and have to say it is a good one. Perfect for beginners, and enthusiasts.

Worm Wrangling!

Saturday August 10th, from 10am-1pm

At the Orient Land Trust’s Everson Ranch

The Everson Ranch is hosting the Wyoming Worm Wrangler! Last year’s hands-on worm casting workshop was a lot of fun and very educational for everyone. We will gather again this year for this free workshop. Join us to learn how to set up a worm bed, how to maintain the worm bed, and how to sort out the worms from their castings. We will look for different sites for the worms at the ranch. Both indoor and outdoor vermicomposting systems will be discussed. Bring your questions and ask the Worm Wrangler! Pitchforks will be put to use!

If you wish to purchase worms or worm castings to be picked up at the event, please contact Erika (Wyoming Worm Wrangler) in advance. Worms may be available at the event, but there are no guarantees. You can reach her at 307-760-6171 via phone or text, email at [email protected], or through her Wyoming Worm Wrangler Facebook or Instagram pages.

You should feel confident in starting your own worm bed after this workshop!

This is a free event and donations are appreciated to support Erika and the Everson Ranch.

After the event we offer tours for those that are interested in learning more about the Everson Ranch.

Location: Everson Ranch, 29398 County Road 61, Moffat, Colorado 81143

I had a couple old rabbit cages that the bottom was rusting out.
I decided to plant some grass seed in the chicken run, and put the cages over the seed. If the grass grows it will come out through the wire for the birds to eat. But they won't be able to tear out the roots so it will keep growing all summer.
Or, at least that's what I'm hopping for.🤞

It was a great time visiting with everyone about worm composting at the LRCD Expo on May 4th.

We built a couple simple plastic tote worm bins, added the prepared shredded paper and cardboard bedding, and I included a small bag of wigglers. We raffled off the full system after each demo. Two families are now started on their vermicomposting journeys!🪱

Trying a new backyard worm bed set-up

40 gallon stock tanks on shelving.
Added horse manure. Once I'm sure it isn't going to heat up I'll add some shredded cardboard and then worms.
I will have to set up a shade this summer, and something to keep birds (and to much rain) out.

Will keep everyone posted as these progress!

Added the last of the Fall leaves to one of the worm beds.

As a New Year begins I would just like to say Thank You to everyone who has supported my small business. I greatly appreciate each and every one of you.

🪱The worms, though slower during the winter months, continue to do their great work!

*note, this was initially going to be a raised bed in my greenhouse, but is making a much better worm bed. I may try growing veggies in it later, but will see where this year takes us
