Ark Equestrian Center

In 1990, Ark Regional Services began a Hippotherapy program on a part time basis with one horse in a rented arena. The program was more successful than we anticipated, and by 1992, an indoor riding arena had been constructed, 15 individuals were receiving services, and the herd had grown to three. Over the years, our services, clientele and herd have been continuously changing and growing. In 2016, we discontinued providing Hippotherapy, and began offering Therapeutic Riding Lessons and Equine Assisted Learning. We provide these services to people receiving support from Ark Regional Services, students from Albany County School District #1, as well as other children and adults in our community wishing to experience the physical, emotional and cognitive benefits horses can provide.

Our herd is made up of 10 amazing horses, some of whom, have been with us for over 20 years. Their keen senses and gentle spirits make them unique teachers. In addition to our horses, we employ 3 full time staff and have several volunteers who all work together to keep the Equestrian Center running.

We are the local dealer of ADM feed which includes, horse, dog, cat, rabbit, chicken and show feeds for lambs, goats, beef, and pigs. We also offer supplements to meet different needs of your animals.
