Every single day we are asked to take at least 50 to a 100 animals; for every one I choose I must say no to the rest because I do not have the money or even the sanctuary completed. Today I said yes to this abandoned starving to death poodle mix. He is suffering from extreme malnutrition and his skin condition is a result. He is 3 to 4 years old and arrives this weekend; his neighborhood is poor and he would have died in the brutal night time cold. He has no options but us.

Help me bring him back to life.

We begin this week's fundraising with not only our budget goal for our sanctuary needs but the addition of Emilio who needs a full back leg amputation. This young pug mix was found in a waste area in a suburb outside of Celaya, a city we serve near us. The leg is crushed and the dog is in a lot pain, but other than the leg he is in good health.

We are currently boarding with the vet and surgery is this week. Emilio's bill we estimate at around 12000 pesos ( 600 usd) and so our goal this week is 1200 for the sanctuary and 600 for Emilio: 1800 usd.

I'm afraid without our help he would not have any options. He will be boarded after surgery with a friend of the sanctuary and he will come to live with us as a house dog in a few months.

Let's get this little guy helped and out of pain. 💔

This week it gives me great pleasure to tell you of the 4 planned dog parks here, we are naming each of them after our 4 biggest supporters. Merry Christmas, Luanne Smith, you're looking at Luanne's Dog Park! We haven't fenced it in yet. In Spring, we will. Thank you for all you have done for the animals.
