We are looking for responsible and dedicated volunteers for our adoption events. Serious submissions only! Volunteers must be comfortable talking to interested adopters in English and Spanish.

Volunteers will be expected to:
- Answer general questions
- Give out information flyers
- Sell merchandise
- Collect donations
- Take pictures and videos
- Walk dogs

THANK YOU to United South Honor Society! They were absolute fabulous volunteers! 🤩 They helped make sure our whole shelter was clean for our visitors and shelter animals. They cleaned chicken coops 🐓 dog kennels 🐕 our fish pond 🐠 and even helped tidy up our storage barn! 📦

We could not do our life saving work without the help of our wonderful volunteers 💕

PLEASE SHARE!!! We are in need of fosters. This puppy was starving, full of fleas, and was left abandoned outside of our shelter in a box. A reminder to everyone that it is illegal to abandon or dump animals!!! 😡 We are trying our best to take in dogs that people bring to us but we are limited in how many we can take in. It takes a community to be able to provide appropriate care for all of our shelter animals. If people do not respect the process that we have, it puts a strain on our resources and leaves more work for an already overworked team.

More about fostering: Fosters are in charge of providing love and care for incoming dogs and brining them in for their scheduled appointments every two weeks. When fostering, we provide you with the necessary supplies (crate, food, harness, leash, toys, etc.). Give us a call at 956-724-8364 or stop by during office hours for more information.

We need help with Yardwork, Gardening, Kennel Cleaning, Laundry, Restocking the Community Pet Pantry, Washing Food Bowls, and so much more! Learn more at petadoptlaredo.org/volunteer

Volunteers must be 16 years or older and come in during our sign-in times* All new volunteers MUST attend an orientation BEFORE they can volunteer. Orientations are held:
Fridays at 5 p.m.
Saturdays at 9:3 a.m.
Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

We also give school hours for donations. Every $2 donation = 1 community service hour

PLEASE SHARE!!! Clear the Shelters isn’t over until September 10th and our goal is to find all of our dogs homes by then! Our pups have been overlooked for months and want nothing more than to share their love with a family of their own 🥺🐶
