There is an old saying if you see something wrong "Put up a red flag". In the bison world a warning sign is a raised tail.
Red Cloud has his warning sign up, but only half way. Who is he threatening you may wonder. He is softly threatening our herd breeder bull Thor. It's mating season and Emily is in heat.
Bison can mate almost anytime of the year but the majority 99% of mating takes place from July through September.
Red Cloud is bigger than Thor and he could win a battle if he truly challenged Thor for dominance. Red Cloud's problem is confidence. Thor is Red Cloud's dad and from his eyes and in his mind dad has always been bigger and stronger than any other bison in the herd. Red Cloud respects Thor because of that.
Maybe someday Red Cloud and Thor will be drinking from the prairie pond side by side together and Red Cloud will see in a reflection of calm water how big he really is.

I was watching a video by Caroline Myss that I found very helpful. She says that when you are experiencing a conflict, having an argument with someone, or when you find yourself judging someone (or even if you are overreacting to someone’s behavior), to tell yourself, “I choose to see this through the eyes of my SOUL”. She says that when we are acting in negative ways, our personality is just “having a moment”, but our SOUL can see through all of it. So, we want to say to ourselves, “I am looking at things through my personality, right now. I must get out of this and see through the LIGHT” (Paraphrased).
She further stated that we are to ask Spirit to “Drop me some MERCY. I need mercy and compassion and I need it NOW.” And in that moment perhaps your soul will get some insight on the problem you are having, or if it is dealing with someone else that you are seeing as difficult, you may see an image of them as a child and see something that they have gone through, and this will give you some compassion. In Caroline Myss’ words, you may see, “whatever caused them to be empty and wounded”. If you feel hurt by their behavior, there is a deep wound inside of them that causes them to act in hurtful ways. Most of the time, they don’t mean to hurt you. They are just responding to their own woundedness.
And I think that when you call for mercy and compassion, you want to start with mercy and compassion for self. We always must start with ourselves. Hurt people hurt others. Healed people heal others. So, we always start by having compassion for ourselves and learn to forgive ourselves. When we do this, we then learn to forgive and have mercy and compassion for others.
We can make that part of our daily prayer, “Help me to have mercy and compassion for myself as I heal my woundedness. Help me to remember that I AM NOT THIS BODY AND THIS PERSONALITY. I am a beautiful soul who has chosen to come to Earth to learn lessons. What is the lesson here?”
There is always a lesson! Let’s shift from our reactive personality to the LOVE essence that we truly are as a SOUL with good intentions. We don’t incarnate here to do harm. We are BEINGS OF LOVE. We are PART OF THE ONE. The Creator energy lives within us and IS us. Just like Scientists can clone someone from one cell, the Creator has cloned itself in us by using its own essence which is LOVE. Therefore, we are LOVE and that is the energy of our SOUL. So, take a deep breath and shift from PERSONALITY to SOUL.
