We're holding a Pop-Up Farmer's Market on the farm this Saturday. We'll have a narrow selection featuring Okra, Cucumbers, and Sweet Potato Leaf. While supplies last. If you're wondering about the sweet potato leaf, it cooks very similarly to spinach. It's wonderful! eat it raw in salads or cook it up with some onion, garlic, salt, and hot pepper.

A lil sun peeking in on this sister okra bloom. Not sure why I associate okra with feminine energy, but that’s how it speaks to me. She’s good for all sorts of wonderful things including managing sugar in the body and lubricating systems and joints. Okra is one of my favorite flowering plants. How does okra speak to you?

This one of our Ghanaian okra plants. We planted quite a few and most of them were about this tall. This plant grew to 11 feet tall! The pods are short and stout and require a big head start to grow the okra pods. We started these in March this year, since last year a May start got us less than 10 pods.
