Our Story
Our story is founded in our love of our family dog; LuLu Belle. Plato is credited with the saying; "necessity is the mother of invention." With all due admiration and respect to Plato, we would humbly add that LOVE is also; "the mother of invention." At least with regard to our story and the invention of LuLu Belle's Wonder Wear. As our beloved dog LuLu Belle entered her mature years we
began to notice her difficulty with mobility. LuLu Belle's labored walking and difficulty climbing steps was diagnosed as arthritis in her hips by our veterinarian. That launched our family to find pain relief for LuLu Belle and every course of medicine, holistic supplements, acupuncture, aqua puncture, laser therapy, and overall love and attention was afforded LuLu Belle. We share one thought in common, "our dog is the only family member we actually selected!"
In LuLu Belle's case, she didn't respond to all those conventional attempts to help her arthritis pain. All of those needles, pills, and laser lights just cost more than they helped her. So, with guidance from above, we recognized the similarities in cell structure and body parts between humans and our dogs. What was helping me cope with my chronic arthritis pain may help our LuLu Belle. With the help of our family veterinarian and a local seamstress, we developed several prototypes of our therapeutic garment we named LuLu Belle's Wonder Wear until we found the perfect design! Wonder Wear is comprised of copper-infused fabric that helps relieve pain through its compression fit around your dog's shoulders, torso, and hips. Wonder Wear contains a pocket along the top of the garment to easily insert the warm/cool gel pack that is included with the garment to provide instant relief for what ails your dog by decreasing inflammation and increasing circulation. Just like with humans! We now have a way to provide that treatment in an easy and practical way. And guess what? That's not all it does! Because the fabric has copper threads, not a copper dip treatment like most of the copper garments on the market, we have actual copper fibers woven into the garment that will provide therapeutic value for the lifetime of the garment.
