Loki Bear and Kane recently stopped by for their annual exams. Their technician Micaela and our volunteer Jordan made sure to give them lots of praise for being such good pups! Who doesn't love Aussies? 🐾

Miss Pancake was recently surrendered to our hospital after being abandoned. Upon exam, we found that Miss Pancake had a broken arm and evidence of severe metabolic bone disease. MBD is a very common diagnosis in captive reptiles. This disease is caused by a lack of calcium in their diet and a lack of UVB light. If they do not have enough calcium supplementation and are unable to metabolize it with improper lighting, their body naturally begins pulling calcium from their bones. Miss Pancake now has misshapen legs, ribs, tail, jaw, etc. but it does not slow her down (much!). She has been adopted by our CVT Kylie and is now living the life. Miss Pancake loves to snuggle, eating superworms, and getting sunshine. Congrats Miss Pancake on your new start to life! 💛☀️

To all of our wonderful clients: Our team is working to assist SWFL in the spaying and neutering of as many rabbits as possible that were rescued from a hoarding case. Donations can be made to SWFL to cover the cost of their care and surgeries. We also admitted two rabbits to our hospital, who are undergoing medical care and will eventually be up for adoption through AAH. 💕

Can you believe Tucker has been coming to AAH since 2015? Tucker stopped by recently for his bi-annual senior exam and labwork. His technician, Taylor, gave him lots of love and handshakes to make sure Tucker knows how great he did for his visit. We love you, Tucker! 🩵

Cruella De Vil is still looking for a home and is hoping to find someone to love her before Valentines Day.

Cruella is a 5-year female spayed rabbit that is looking for her new family. While this sweet rabbit may look like Cruella, she does not act like her and is very affectionate. Cruella loves giving kisses, cuddling her favorite people, accepting head pets, and showing everyone, just how great rabbits can be. Some of her favorite things are fresh pieces of apple for treats, her wood hide, and being prideful about being litter box trained. In the past, Cruella has struggled to bond with another rabbit. This does not mean that every rabbit is the same and it does not limit her ability to be adopted out into a home with another rabbit.​​​​​​​

We hope she can find someone to welcome her into their home!

River Cupid was found outdoors as a kitten, and is now living the good life with his new family! 🩵 This kitten is full of love-- the heart on his nose proves it! River Cupid stopped by for his first vet visit, bloodwork, vaccines, and more. He is so spoiled, and we are thrilled he ended up in the perfect home. Congrats, River Cupid!

Benjamin recently boarded at our hospital, and brought his favorite stuffie to snuggle with. Cuteness overload! 🩵 Benjamin is such a sweet rabbit and we all enjoy getting to spend time with him!

Congrats to Bug, our hand-raised pigeon who has found his forever home! 🩷 He is now best friends with another pigeon, and enjoying all there is to see in his new outdoor aviary.

Lil Dude is one of the luckiest cats we know! Lil Dude has been living outdoors for years, and his new "mom" was finally able to bring him indoors. He is now living a life of luxury as any cat should! ❤ He has been neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites, had labwork performed, and most importantly gets a warm cozy bed to sleep in from here moving forward. Congrats Lil Dude on your new start to life!

Mushu was adopted from our hospital back in 2023 to the most amazing family! Since then, she has moved out of state but is still thriving. She is such a sweet girl and has such a fabulous personality that she is now an ambassador animal at a bird park. We are so happy that Mushu can educate the public on how special bearded dragons are and their very specific needs as an animal. Yay Mushu! 🩷
