Puppies! Our puppies are 6 weeks old today and will be ready for adoption in two weeks!

Pictured are the seven available. They do not have names yet but will soon. If interested in the puppies, please message us. You can also find adoption applications on our website at www.pawneehumane.com.

They are Shepard mixes and will be around 60 pounds full-grown.

The LSCF Best Chance Dog Rescue Program has a new dog to welcome to the facility. Jackson (handler Dustin) is fitting right in with a big grin and ears! If you are interested in more information on Jackson and would like to offer him a “furever” home, please contact the Pawnee County Humane Society.

January Cause for P.A.W.S. -

2024 was a busy year for PCHS! We took in 214 animals, 110 cats, and 104 dogs. We saw 204 animals out the door including 129 adoptions (79 cats and 50 dogs) and 60 lost cats and dogs returned to their homes! It was definitely the year of the cat. This is Milo. He is a 2 year old Cane Corso. He is neutered and up-to-date on shots. He does well with other dogs, especially small dogs, and he is great with kids. He has not been around a lot of cats.

UPDATE: We got a radio compliments of an employee Doerrs Ace Hardware!!!!!!

If anyone has an AM/FM radio they aren't using, we are looking for one for our dog kennel room.

Ours got wet and broke and now we need a new one.

Mistletoe could not resist visiting the cute animals at the Pawnee County Humane Society!
She was greeted with love and adoration, as only a pet can bring to your family!

"Holiday shopping for loved ones who seem to have everything? How about making small, monthly recurring donations to the Pawnee County Humane Society!
$5 won't buy you much nowadays but $5 a month would help out the lost and homeless animals at PCHS a lot!Donations includes animal care, vaccines, medicines, tests, microchips, etc. PCHS also operates as a pet food bank for those in need and has a TNR program to keep down the cat populations in Pawnee County.
$5 a month is $60 a year, the average Christmas gift price with the bonus of only costing $5 a month! If even just 100 people donated $5 a month, that's $500 extra a month to go towards the animals at PCHS!"
