Salm's Hickory Hill Farm is looking for a couple of individuals to help with morning chores weekdays and afternoon chores weekdays. This is a physical job, you must be able to lift 50lbs on a daily basis. Job includes, but is not limited to, turning horse out, cleaning stalls, feeding hay, shoveling shavings, raking, watering, feeding grain, and unrolling round bales. Experience with horses is not needed, but recommended. We are willing to teach. Morning chores start at 6:30am and go until we are finished (usually anywhere between 9:00am and 12:00pm). Don't Let this guy's age fool you, he has a lot of life left! Cherokee has been trail rode all over, traffic safe, and perfect for any level rider. We have people of all ages ride him. He would make an excellent kids horse, husband horse, or your next trail partner. He was shown some by youth riders. Nothing bothers this horse. He was used as a lesson horse for the last two years. The Horse'n Around Youth night we hosted on Nov. 10th went really well. We would like to thank all of you that participated and helped volunteer! This past weekend, the Salm's Youth Riders group put on a fun show for all the boarders in our barn. It was a blast, and it was great seeing everyone join in with their horses! This barn family is amazing and wonderful!! We are so grateful for all of our clients!

COME JOIN US as we host the WWHA Versatility Show tomorrow (Saturday, August, 20th). Rain or Shine, show held indoors.

Starts 9:00am with rail classes and then we finish off the day with games!

Concession stand on site! The food is great!

Salm's Youth Riders will have a bake sale!

A local vendor will be selling horse accessories!

I know we have not posted anything on here in a while. To say the last two months here have been crazy, would be an understatement! (This may be a long post, sorry)

First of all, Nicki and Todd, welcomed a new addition to the SHHF Family. Liam Todd Posselt, born 5/26, a healthy little boy! (ok, maybe not so little 9lb 2oz, ouch!) Congratulations Nicki and Todd and Allison!

Our show season started mid May. Everyone has done very well and we are proud of everything each horse and rider has accomplished so far. It is going to be a great season! Good luck to all of you at future shows!

For anyone looking for horses, I am sorry we have not gotten their ads up, most of them have sold before we could even get pictures. The ones we have left, we will get pictures and information very soon.

The Salm's Youth Riders group has been hard at work. They put on a horse wash for all the boarders this past week and have MANY more activities planned for this summer.

We would like to wish you all a great summer! Try to stay cool through all of these heat waves and storms. We hope to see everyone around and come visit us anytime!
