Horseback riding lessons for beginner and intermediate riders.

Hello!

Starting August 1st we will have more availability for scheduling riding lessons!

We accept riders of ALL ages.

There are options for two types of private lessons or very limited group lessons.

We will also have LIMITED availability for a few working students (those who exchange cleaning stalls / working at the barn for riding lessons).

Big Red is definitely big! But he also has a huge heart and absolutely adores the kiddos!

He belongs to Instructor Jazmin Fielder. For an off the track racehorse he is so sweet and lazy!

AVAILABLE FOR ON SITE LEASE ONLY

We are OFFICIALLY going to be leasing out one of our main lessons horses for a partial lease! He is beginner to advanced friendly and can either walk around for your little kiddos or put on some speed for gymkhana events.

He has done multiple kids camps and has started just about every lesson kid we have on building their confidence and skill and is a total sweetheart to boot! (I think we have been asked about 10 times if we would sell him, and we have a list of "call me first" if that ever happens. Sorry. It won't, we love him too much, BUT you can lease him!)

He has also been a major trail horse. From the trails across the street into the Organs to a ride down Roadrunner and Caliches and even the Gila mountains! He is a very sure-footed boy who enjoys riding as much as he loves eating. He has great feet and does not need shoes for the rocky hills, but we also know a great farrier who shoes him when we need it for arena work!

He isn't beginner friendly for gymkhanas if your kiddo can't ride fast and control at the same time. He gets VERY competitive when it comes to "competition day" and is very high energy. But around the property he is a giant puppy for the kiddos. He runs in the 20-21 second range for barrels and is 20 years old. Our farrier says he has NO arthritis in his joints and he is a very healthy boy!

Feel free to ask for a test ride if you're interested, or come see him for yourself!

The lease will be on-site only for either full or partial lease.

JULY HORSE CAMP

The dates for the July horse camps are as follows:

July 9-10 (Beginner Camp)
July 30-31 (Intermediate Camp)

We will be accepting 10 campers per Camp at $80.00 for the whole weekend. Please contact us at (575) 288-6545 to set up a time to get the paperwork done. We be taking campers until we fill up, or until the 5th of July.

Lesson horse Princess was a wonderful canvas for our anatomy lesson yesterday at camp! And just an overall fun horse for the kids to paint!

☀️SUMMER CAMP 2022☀️

HELLO!
It's that time of year again and we are back on track with our summer camps! MUCH has changed so PLEASE read carefully!

SIGN UPS for the two JUNE camps will take place May 21st from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Animal Haven Lodge & Suites located at 3027 N. Valley Drive.

DATES::
- Beginner Camp (June 11-12)
- Intermediate Camp (June 25 -26)

We are limiting EACH Camp to only 10 campers. We are much smaller than we used to be!

After quite a break due to multiple personal and equine related issues, we see one of the instructors(Caitlyn) and Princess (one of the horses used for lessons), getting out some of the rust for their barrel runs.

We may see these two get competitive again! We are rooting for you ladies!

For those who may not know, Bojangles is an almost 6 year old stallion who was born and raised on the property. He is a very sweet boy and has been doing absolutely incredible!

* blocks are only offered to those who intend to take weekly/biweekly lessons *

30 minute block of 4 - $110

1 hour 30 minute block of 4 - $210

Discounts and Deals

Veteran/Active Military -

We offer a 20% discount on all blocks purchased per child.

Senior-
We offer a 10% discount on all blocks purchased per child.

Multiple Child-*
Our limit for lessons is 2 children per lesson. We offer a 30% discount for 2+ children. This only applies to the one-hour block of 4 and the one-hour and thirty minute block of 4.

*more than two children for lessons will need to schedule for different time slots.

Blue Jay had her first rider in the form of a pony ride this past weekend and did excellent! She offered no bucks (though we anticipate they will eventually happen in the future while we continue her training and ask more of her) for her first time under saddle with a rider.

We could not be more proud of her or the work put into her! Slow and steady wins the race, as they say!

The girls had a blast yesterday evening riding around on their horses to get in some much needed riding time.

We also want to send a Happy Belated Birthday to one of the girls who teach riding lessons to the next generation of riders, Caitlyn who is on Princess (black and white paint)! 🥳

Things to be on the lookout for:

- We will soon be leasing out some of our horses, including some of everyone's favorite lesson horses, like Stroke and Mio!

- We have two young horses in training that will be looking for new homes, but neither are recommended for beginners! (Picture below is one of the first horse in training, King Malus, showing how well he did with everything on him for the first time ever!)

- Our plans for group riding lessons - this will allow for your child to start preparing for gymkhana type events and make some new friends who are just as excited about riding horses as they are!
