That's what time our staff started loading ASCMV animals (51 dogs and 22 cats to be precise) onto our transport truck this morning, bound for their rescues in Arizona. With a Phoenix forecast of 111 degrees today, we couldn't risk any animals overheating, so an early morning arrival was our only option. THANK YOU to our amazing staff members who came in the middle of the night to get everyone loaded up!
THANK YOU to Pei People Shar Pei Rescue for taking in Goose, a wrinkly faced Pei mix!
THANK YOU to Cruz's Crusaders rescue for taking a pair of terriers, a very young single pup, and an adorable boy named Boone!
THANK YOU to HALO Animal Rescue for taking in 46 dogs of all shapes and sizes, and 22 cats and kittens! Many staff favorites and long-term dogs were on this load, and our hearts are so happy 🥰

13 cats were found ABANDONED outside our building yesterday 7am; staff immediately brought them inside. Several are sick. This is not only ILLEGAL and CRUEL but there ARE better options, there are RESOURCES. Not knowing the cats' history makes it difficult for ASCMV to make decisions in the best interest of these cats.

"I came to the ASCMV as a tiny stray and her litter of kittens. My babies have grown up and most have already found their homes, but so far no one has wanted to meet me! I’m only 6 pounds and won’t be getting any bigger, and I absolutely love being pet and pampered. After being a mother raising her babies out in the streets, I’d love to know what a loving home is like."

ASCMV gets so many cats daily. Some are simply not suitable to be companion animals, or not suitable for indoor life (oftentimes through no fault of their own). There may also be circumstances which make it unsafe for ASCMV to release them back into the area where they were found/trapped. ASCMV will give you guidance on the very easy acclimation process. You just provide food and shelter and in exchange, you get FREE RODENT CONTROL on your property. Did you know FEMALES ARE BETTER HUNTERS THAN BOYS?!

Here are three beautiful kitty girls, all from the same property. We would love for them to go home together but they may also be separated.

THANK YOU to ACTion Programs for Animals and Enchanted Pass Animal Rescue for taking cats from the ASCMV yesterday. The kitties pictured below went to APA, while 5 other cats from the same home left with Enchanted Pass. Thank you to both rescues for continuing to help homeless pets in Dona Ana County!
