Looking to get outside next Saturday? Be our friend and help us maintain the beautiful Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park as a "Friends of the CDNP" volunteer!

Join us Saturday the 8th any time between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to help us beautify our Arroyo Trail, which will include trimming plants, stabilizing the path, and maintaining trail edges. Park Manager William will also share information about desert pollinators and how to identify pollinators and plants with free phone apps like Seek and iNaturalist.

Meet us at the upper parking lot near the restrooms at 9 a.m., or, if coming later, park at the Arroyo Trailhead parking lot (halfway between the main entrance and upper parking lot) (see comments for Google Maps links).

Bring your hat and water bottle and maybe even a friend to help! We'll have snacks and water to refill bottles.

Upcoming workdays are August 10th, October 12th, and December 14th.

Update! Thank you to everyone who came to my rescue with names and referrals. The cooler is now working! Thank you!!

I am desperate to find a handyman/person for Harmony House. At the moment, we are sweltering inside after a guy ”fixed” my evaporative cooler, which is now apparently not pulling water. Many calls to the guy, but he seems to have vanished. Can someone out there help or refer me to somebody? 🤞

Here sits the kiva, partially dug, (about half way). It will be brought to its next phase, by completing the digging, laying the stone stem wall foundation and them making and applying cobb to the stone wall, top to bottom. Floor 4 feet under, top, 4 feet above ground. 8 ft ceiling height. Every material is from the ground right here, including the roof.. I will be looking for volunteers to help in late July/early August. Keep it in mind if you are interested.

Here in this refuge, meditation gardens are coming along complete with flowers, bees, butterflies and birds. Ground has been broken and the new herb garden shade structures are under construction. Tomatoes and peppers finally in ground and happy with their little removable shades as well.🙏😍,

Seven months ago, termites forced me to demolish two entire sides of my house patio infrastructure. My spirit soars as I reach this point in the re-construction. Now it is time to plant, to host live music and community celebrations, workshops, and oh my, so much is in store from here. 100 sq. Feet of medicinal herb gardens are planned. Many hands make light work. Join in a work day at Harmony House Las Cruces. Some awesome friends with expertise are setting the stage and we would like 7 people to join us on Saturday April 13 beginning at 8:00 AM to knock out a patio in one day.

Food, beverage, whatever you need, will be provided. Just bring your joyful self. You can confirm with me via FB message, text, or email [email protected].

This new patio will be the site for an all new and improved concert venue, farm to table lunches and dinners, community farm and crafts market, yoga and a variety of workshops.
